1st day out

Gave my new car it's 1st test today in competition (clio 197 turbo )
Found north wealds degrading surface far to bumpy . The car runs gaz gold coilovers 550lb front springs 375 rears the problem is every bump or section of bumps sets traction asr mode in cutting power. So I switched it off when you reach 30mph it automatically engages again .does anyone know if it can be permanently removed? Any help appreciated Dean clayton

No idea how to remove the TC,

No idea how to remove the TC, but I still think those springs are far too hard...

The springs sound OK to me

The springs sound OK to me based on what I use on Civics.

Can you take out the fuse for the traction control? It depends on there being nothing else on that circuit.

Some posts on Renault Clio forums talk of holding the button in for 30s to turn it off completely, but the responses make  that sound doubtful.

A more useful post said: "It can also be done via the Renault CLIP (diagnostic tool). Not disabled but the reactivation threshold lifted, to say 100mph instead of 30mph."

traction control

i suffered from a similar thing in the Skoda on sunday. i started with it on but when the wheels started to spin it cut down to limp mode then it woke up again. when you turn it off it turns itself back on. i spoke to someone today that also told me that on a ford you can hold the button in for about 15 sec and that turns it off but i havnt tried it let me know if it works

try dissconnecting a non

try dissconnecting a non driven wheel abs sensor, that usually disables the whole system.

if you pull the fuse the canbus system cant read whats going on so throws it in limp any way.

Thanks Ian I'll try that

Thanks Ian I'll try that
Tony Michael has found a clip tool where the threshold can be moved up to 100 mph instead of reactivating at 30 so that may be the solution cheers all
