CMC Autocross

Hi Guys

I have been trying to contact Tom regarding the Autocross on Sunday. regarding 5 possible entries.
Could someone let me know if this event is going to run.

hi all, hope all is well, could somebody find out if the event will definatley go ahead, didn't want to come on here and spoil the surprise but there is 6 of us coming down from the north east to take part in the event, we were just gonna turn up on the day but if the event is gonna be cancelled i thought i better show my hand and find out now rather than when we turn up on the day

There are some concerns that the event is a little light on entries so far.
If you have entered the organising crew are doing everything possible to allow lost/late/new entries in.
There are another 8 definite entries expressed (from local championship competitors) and no Autocross is the same without the Northern crew who are currently filling up places.

However, if there is not enough people to make the event viable (either financially or competitionally) then the event will have to be cancelled. We will keep the entry open for as long as possible, though realistically we will have to close it by the end of play on Tuesday (perhaps Wednesday morning!) Otherwise we may incur financial penalties.

Believe me, I have had to work hard for the time to help organise this event (and get my car ready!), so I am not going to pull the plug unless I am told to!

Hi Michael

I appreciate all your hard work for trying to keep this event in the Championship Calendar, however I think you need to take into account that a small number of competitors (stage) have supported there local event when they could have competed elsewhere.

It would be nice to get confirmation ASAP if this event will run? as those competitors involved might still be in with a chance of getting an entry elsewhere.

With great regret we have had to cancel this event. This decision was taken late on Tuesday after detailed discussion on its feasibility. Unfortunately we had to come to the conclusion it could not go forward on both financial and sporting grounds due to a lack of entries. For those who sent in entries we will return the entry fee in full. Effort in organising the event was still ongoing right up to the decision to cancel, e.g. finals and entry list ready to publish. We hope all those who want to compete on other events on the same weekend will be able to enter and are more than willing to support those who entered our event if that is needed.
