Richard Burns Memorial Marshalling
Here is a request for marshals for the Richard Burns Memorial Rally, Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th September 2008:
MARSHALS AND RADIO CREWS
To date we have had a good response to our call for marshals and radio crews, but like all events these days we need lots more and would love to hear from as many as possible of you volunteers, to top up our existing enthusiasts.
You know you are the people without whom every event cannot run - but more importantly so do the competitors and the organisers.
If you can spare either day of the weekend of 13th & 14th September or both we have a most entertaining weekend planned for ALL – marshals, competitors and spectators alike. There will be camping and caravanning and on the Saturday evening you can share in a hog roast and the music of 3 or 4 bands and drinks at low, low prices along with competitors and fellow marshals. To be reasonable and responsible the party finishes at midnight – we have a full day’s motor sport on Sunday!
Each marshal will be given a memento of this the inaugural event as well as the usual marshal’s goodie bag and memories of a weekend to remember – many WRC cars included in the 150 starters.
RAF Marham, who are kindly hosting our event, is a live RAF base. As marshals have unescorted access to many areas of the base during the event there is a need for basic security checks to be carried out on us ALL.
PLEASE, if you are interested in our event and planning on coming to marshal, send your details in as soon as possible so that we can send a form to you for security check purposes.
Please email your details or any questions you may have to marshal@richardburnsmemorialrally.co.uk
Follow the entry list and rally details as they unfold at www.richardburnsmemorialrally.co.uk
Thanks in anticipation of your help and we all look forward to seeing you over the weekend.
