Come on Irene ( to a well known tune) Richards Nel, Lewsey & Baker, Mike Thomas , Charlotte , Rob ? & any others that were there . . HOW DID YOU DO . .
I will get the results from Dan and let you know.
Lewsey got FTD - no not the one in the Smart!
Mr Nel - had a bit of an off on test 2?
Ben went faster than his Dad and came 1st in Class.
RG 1st in Class
Not sure on the others Rob didn't do it as he was fixing there road car. Charlotte drove the beast of an Escort .
Mr Jarvis also looked cool out there.
Was hoping to keep that quiet a little longer!! Thanks Irene. Could come up with a multitude of excuses, but driver right foot error covers it, causing a rather large slide into the undergrowth. Unfortunately did a lot of damage on the n/s catching the steel cable supporting a telegraph pole & a concrete block in the grass - rad, indicator & nose cone, part of exhaust, rear arch destroyed, thermostat housing, wishbone. All parts ordered and awaiting delivery. One severely urinated off person, but could have been worse I guess.
Perhaps an early bid for the 2007 fender bender trophy? Several bonus points for doing it on an autotest, but points deducted as it was done in the spirit of competition.
Hope the repair isn't too pricey and you get the beast back to its former glory.
Thanks chaps. In all the years of doing road and stage rallies, I did no real damage in a car worth zip, and then I go & do this in a car worth quite a few quid.
This was not supposed to happen in autotest's!!!
Not going to be cheap to fix either, the Westfield parts are quite pricey. Hopefully lesson learned and I'll be more observant of solid objects in future.
First trip out with the trailer, only a week old, so that was fortunate.
No worries Irene, would have got out sooner or later!!!!
Due to my rather hacked off frame of mind, I never got to speak to Dan or Stan about a co pro of an Autotest. I'll have to follow that up again. When does WAC meet? I know that it's in Ramsden Heath.
Well Done Richard Keep the Escort flag flying over those plastic rockets

Richard
most people get a bit of orange paint transfer on the car during an autotest off.
much respect Richard for doing a proper job.
