It is with regret that Sutton & Cheam MC / Hart MC announce the postponement of the Mini Tempest Stages at Longcross on 2nd September.
We were advised by the venue management QinetiQ late Friday afternoon that despite their best efforts, the current owners have notified them that it is unlikely that the Lease and the subsequent Certificate of Use will be signed and sealed in time for the event to take place.
As organisers, we have decided to postpone the event until such a time that said documents and permissions are in place. Entries received so far will be held in obeyance until such a time that we can proceed and each entry will be notified of the new date as soon as it is known - They can then decide if they want to take part in the event or cancel without any penalty. No financial transactions will take place (cheques etc will NOT be cashed) and no cancellation fees will be taken.
Obviously we are disappointed that the event will not take place as planned but we would like to stress that this is a technical issue and that QinetiQ are still committed to a return of competitive motor sport at Longcross as soon as the relevant legal documents are secured.
Im going to be there in a mk2 Escort! So i shall see you there
