JCP AUTOTEST September 9th
9 August, 2007 - 12:53
Message from the organisers. Entries are typically trickling in slowly. Competitors are encouraged to submit entries sooner rather than later to assist in the event preparations. The regulations state that entries will not be accepted on the day, so please bear that in mind.
Thank you

We could still do with entries, or for that matter 1 or 2 more marshals, for the grass autotest on Sunday 09th September.

as def be there so will rich , been practising all summer to try and give jim a run for his money see you all sunday mike
Mike, to avoid disappointment you may want to call up the entries sec. to advise, or submit the forms because the entries close before Sunday. The organisers did this to avoid loads entering on the day and creating a head ache for them. As a organiser myself, I can understand why they have done this.
Richard
how many entries are there? will be travelling back from Oulton Park on Saturday night and a nice early start for Sunday.....
Suze, there around 18 or so entries as I understand, so the event is definitely on, unless I guess we have a monsoon before hand
Richard
Matt & Peter Brewerton have posted entries for Sunday - I think the Prestonaire Limited Edition Golf
might get an airing or maybe something else
. Matt is threatening to play in his 306 - something to do with power steering and aircon being helpful on dusty fields
Cool, though I've always done better in the wet! Will have to see if Matt E can beat me this time as he hasn't done so well at the 7oaks events....
He mentioned there might be a BBQ for lunch.....?
Yes, usually the landowners usually fire up and there is a burger or hot dog on offer
Richard
Cool. I was going to clean out the Micra this week from all the grass / dust in it left from other autotests but will have to wait til next week as too lazy to do it before and after Sunday!
Any news on entrys etc?
Richard, last I heard it was around 18, with a few more expected.
Richard
A BIG thanks to the organisers and marhsals of todays autotest.
Also thanks to everyone else for being slower than me

Yep thanks to all and well done Matt again.
An extra thanks to those who helped with the Micra's issues. I know what I'll be doing tomorrow....so much for holiday time!
The car made it home, by keeping the revs reasonably high as it always cuts out at low revs - but I wasn't too happy sitting in stationary traffic on the way back as was worried it would cut out, was like driving the Vee a bit with blipping the throttle or whatever you call it to keep the revs up!
I was coming for yah Matt
Just be grateful for Peugeot reliability
Joking aside well done Matt and thanks to cmc for another slick event!
Great day out. Thanks to the marshals & organisers. Joint leader at lunch time, but whether I dropped off, or the others stepped up a gear, but I was down to 4th overall by the end of the day, and by some distance. The dust played a big part - I created too much, but that only lost me a few seconds, nothing to change the end ersult. Well done Matt.
Don't suppose anyone found a Mobile phone did they. Managed to loose it somewhere yesterday!!
Richard
Fantastic competition - well done Matt & also to Mike Thomas - driving the wheels off that underpowered 205.
What a fabulous field.
I will be writing article for the next club magazine ( due soon) where every competitor, organiser & marshal will get a name check.
Jim
it was nice to be able to enter this year - missed the last few years worth for various reasons. Somehow the mondeo was 3rd in class after test3, but that anomaly was recitifed as the day went on! Shame i had to miss the last few tests, even having left early didnt reach Birmingham before 10pm!
Thanks to the organisers and marshalls, and of course BBQ chef!
Phone found - well and truly wedged between the seat and transmission tunnel!
Richard
A bit like Jim's keys...
