Map to borrow
Does anybody have an O/S Map 104, Leeds / Harrogate, that they would be willing to lend me. Having a few days away at the end of May, and a map of the local area would be very useful. Will be at the club night on 15th to collect if any takers. Thanks

Yes, but it's 1985 vintage. I use the library for one off map usage, but if you want to borrow it let me know.
Tony, yes even that old will be OK for me thanks. We'll be doing some walking and cycling, so want to find some simple routes round the lanes, with a pub or two on the way. Library - hadn't thought wbout that. Will I see you Thursday week? Cheers Richard

Hi Richard,
I have one from the 1940's - that still showed tramlines on it. Probably not too useful anymore - but was fun at university - some of the roads shown as yellow had definitely gone white by then.

Mr Booth, how the devil are you? Still State side I assume?

Actually sat in Shanghai, China right this minute - and was bored while the locals rabbited in Mandarin and chanced upon the CMC website. Flying back to the US tomorrow.
Have a good flight. What are you doing out there? I know that you retired from FMC some years ago, but lost track of what you are now up to.

Richard,
I are my own company now. Consulting for a company called UGS that got bought by Siemens last year. They sell software for CAD applications with a lot of automotive customers - so here I am working on installation of some of that software with SAIC - the people that bought Rover - who now sell a thing called the Roewe 750...and as the w is pronounced like a V - you can see where it came from!!

Ah, continuing to build the Booth empire! Good to catch up - don't forget us limeys over here and look us up when you are back in good old blighty. October would be good for the Stage Rally, as you have missed the Historic! Cheers
