Future of Bradwell Power Station

In our local Basildon Yellow Advertiser there is an small article that invites residents to have their say at a meeting of the South Essex Area Forum. The meeting will be held on Wednesday June 18th at Stock Brook Manor, Queens Park Avenue, Stock. People attending the event at 2pm will be able to discuss community safety topics. Plans for the future of Bradwell Power Station are also on the agenda.
Will this effect the surrounding areas we use for Essex Charity stages and the autotest?
As these are Wickford Events, maybe worth Irene and Richard mentioning it to the Wickford Club if they are not aware of it.
Rob, I have forwarded the note to Dan Cornwall at WAC, who is very much involved in the local stuff around Bradwell.
I was down there not so long ago, and the car park is a really good size for an autotest venue. Depending on the outcome of the power station, there may be an opportunity for an event or two, before it is pulled down.

Thanks Rob & Richard. We have discussed this at various committee meetings since I have been secretary and I am sure they have been discussing it long before now.
WAC are keeping an eye on the situation but general concensus is something will happen but will probably be longer term so trying not to worry about it - making the most of the venue whilst we can! We will cross that bridge when we come to it as they say! Maybe they will be quick with thier plans this time, fingers crossed that they stay true to form.
Think the next autotest is planned for sept on airfield!
