Hi

Looking at doing Sprints in a 306 GTI6. It has a full cage, buckets, internal engine cut off switch, bonet and boot clips, otherwise its basically standard, except for a noisy exhaust which has so far passed noise at Targa's (Just).

I have the free RS Clubmans license.

Can anyone advise me on what Helmet and Overalls are needed and the best place to buy from please

In fact any advise would be welcomed ?

Thank you

Trevor

Maxsport quality issues

Hi all

I bought 4 maxsport rb5 tyres for sprinting

1st outing on them at debden I won the class so initionaly very happy .

2nd outing 12 miles later and a month has passed . I noticed 2 of the tyres had bolges close to rim 1 offside 1 kerbside . The rim protector has come off half way round .

Contacted jjc race and rally guess what ?

Not covered under warranty as it's not a quality issue what bull!

Spoke to Bryn at maxsport and guess what ?

It's down to jjc race and rally to decide on a refund

Brake pad recommendations

Hi I'm getting ready for this year's sprint championship. Whilst the standard brakes on my clio 197 are good sadly they are not good enough. I have upgraded the engine to turbo spec so power and speed is much greater.
It has the 315mm discs and brembo 4 pots.which I must retain . I've tried d's 2500 which are good .
Does anyone have a better idea on pads
Please note on a sprint we do not have a couple of laps to wArm up so they must work well from cold or second corner!
Any suggestions welcome
Thanks

1st day out

Gave my new car it's 1st test today in competition (clio 197 turbo )
Found north wealds degrading surface far to bumpy . The car runs gaz gold coilovers 550lb front springs 375 rears the problem is every bump or section of bumps sets traction asr mode in cutting power. So I switched it off when you reach 30mph it automatically engages again .does anyone know if it can be permanently removed? Any help appreciated Dean clayton
