Chelmsford MC - End of Summer Update

We hope you've have a good summer and would like to update you on our plans for future events. The club has been very quiet since the July barbecue and 12 car awards presentation, but there's been a lot of activity behind the scenes planning for the rest of this year and much of 2026.

Club nights - after a summer break in August, we intend to continue using Little Waltham Sports & Social Club on the third Thursday of every month, starting from 18th September with a Christmas buffet planned for December 18th.

Leading Historic Rally Driver & CMC Club Member John King will have his latest purchase a 1939 Dodge Business Coupe on display at Stow Maries Aerodrome on Sunday 25th - look up show details on the internet.

With previous owners this car has finished Peking to Paris twice , and John & Tracy King will compete on that classic event in 2028 if all goes to plan.

The Club has some new stickers for Members

Small 60mm x 60mm Square Stickers that can go on your normal Car
2 types available Inside Fixing and Outside Fixing

We also have A5 Stickers for your Competition Car

These will be available at Club Night tonight (15th May)

After that they will be available on request.

ECMC Scatter Rally Friday 23rd - Navigator or Driver reqd

I have entered the Eastern Counties Motor Club Shotley Peninsula Scatter Rally on Friday 23rd .

I'm looking for a navigator or a team , but if no one wants to do that I can become the navigator.

Ideal for a beginner looking for a less serious type of event.

AGM 2025

Since 2020 we have been holding our Annual General Meetings on Zoom to present a review of the year, approve the accounts for the year ended 31st October 2024, elect the senior officials and committee and allow members to raise questions about the management of the club, its events and future strategy. Please join us for 30-40 minutes on 27th February.

Historical Rallying Documents?

I'm creating a database of events and results of rallies I (or other rallying colleagues) was involved in over the 50+ years. Scanning, filing and indexing any documentation I can find. Deep searching on the Internet has revealed many historical gems of results and photographs, including those archived on the CMC website. The database will go public sometime this year.

Changes to MSUK RS Clubman's Licences

CMC would like to make all competitors with the Motorsport UK RS Clubman's licence aware that this level of licence does not automatically include personal injury insurance for 2025. This is a change for 2025.

For competitors with licences 'above' the free RS Clubman's licence, you automatically get insurance cover.

For competitors with the free RS Clubman's licence, you can upgrade this to include personal injury insurance.
