Waterbeach Autosolo - 8th July

Round 3 of the SCCoN/WSMC/ECMC Autosolo/Autotest
series will take place at Waterbeach Airfield on Sunday 8th July.

Regs will be posted on all the clubs' sites and the series webpage, accessed
via www.sccon.co.uk

This will be a good opportunity for all of the club's gymkhana drivers to have a go at a slightly different format of event.

Tragic News - Gregg Mint

With great sadness I have to announce that Greg sadly passed away on Monday 21st May in a road traffic accident. He was a passenger in the vehicle, and died at the scene, in Crow Lane (Romford) at ~ 8pm. My deepest condolences go out not only to Mike and Mandy, but also to the other families who are suffering at this time.

Castrol EDGE MN Search for a Rally Star

The concept of the Search for a Rally Star competition is to reward a committed member of a motor club with a drive on a national rally in a Ford Fiesta R2 supported by M-Sport and Castrol EDGE. The car will be painted in the same livery as the M-Sport run Ford World Rally Team cars, and the winner will receive testing and tuition from M-Sport before the event.

Hey Everyone, my name is Spike.
You might remember me as Jim Bowie's chief technician or the marshall who sets up the Gymkhana skills test.

In June 2012 I will run my first ever half marathon in San Diego, California. Please help me to raise £1,000 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by the 26th of April 2012. All proceeds go to the charity to help beat cancer!

Honington Gymkhana - Event News

Less than two weeks now until the first Gymkhana of the year on March 11th.

The event is coming together well BUT WE'D LIKE MORE COMPETITORS and MORE MARSHALS.

This will be an ideal event for Gymkhana first timers -
- 12 timed tests - simple diagrams, nothing "too fast" or "too tight" and no tests more than a mile long. Good for tyres/brakes & dizzy navigators
- sensible penalties for missed cones, wrong manoeouvres & incorrect tests.
- Lots of skill tests to add a bit of fun including "rats and balls" & something on the skid pan.
