Marshalling matters - training days, events.

EAC Marshals needed

We are only about four weeks away from the East Anglian Classic on Saturday 20th June and will need an army of marshals to look after the tests. This year we are using just one site, Wethersfield. The tests will be similar to or even longer than are used for the Targa there, with cars running at 30 sec intervals too. It will be spectacular and frenetic.

Last week I started a FB page called 'Rally Marshals in East Anglia'. I created it with the intention of helping organisers to get marshals for their events and for marshals to share their experiences in order to encourage new people to join in.

It is mainly aimed at marshals but competitors, most of us marshal from time to time, or any other is more than welcome.

Being quite unambitious only Rally and East Anglia is in the title but I can't see why other related events(trials, autosolos/tests...) and from further afield couldn´t be listed.

Preston Marshals Thanks

On behalf of the Preston organising team I would like to thank you all for the sterling job you did last Saturday night.
 
It was great to see you all in high spirits despite a freezing night when I got to your controls, competitors have said the same on the different forums. You are the soul of events like ‘The One and Only’ and your efforts are enormously appreciated.

Preston Marshals Update + 1 Volunteer Request

This is an update of an earlier post.

We have had a good response for marshals this year and most of the controls are covered.

Luis and I will send out marshal instructions to everyone that has contacted us by Tuesday evening.

 

I have a boring position for which I require a willing volunteer - or two - which enables the task to be shared.
