MGJ Brands Hatch Winter Stages 2017
Welcome to the 2017 MGJ Engineering Ltd Brands Hatch Winter Stages.
Thanks for your interest in marshalling at the MGJ Engineering Brands Hatch Winter Stages 2017. The event is now oversubscribed with both stage and radio marshals. If you wish to be added to a marshals reserve list, please contact Luis Gutierrez-Diaz (Chief Marshal).
(Please register to marshal on the event by clicking the button.)
On Saturday 21st January 2017, Chelmsford Motor Club will be running the MGJ Engineering Brands Hatch Stages at the MSV Brands Hatch circuit and we are looking for marshals of all grades and radio marshals to help run the event.
For the MGJ Engineering Brand Hatch stages, we would prefer all our existing marshals to be 2017 MSA Marshal Accredited and will be required to present their registration cards at signing on. We had a good response last year when we asked for you all to register so hopefully all you need to do is renew for 2017.
If you are available to help, register your interest at Chelmsford Motor Club website and Luis Gutierrez our Chief Marshal will be in contact shortly. Please note, this event is running on the Saturday this year instead of usual Sunday.
For 2017, all marshals are required to hold a 2017 MSA Marshal registration before attending the event. From now on, online training and accreditation will be compulsory for new/first-time rally and cross country marshals. Existing registered marshals are encouraged to complete the accreditation as soon as possible and will need to do so before renewing their 2017 registration.

This new MSA Marshal Accreditation is required for all forms of motorsport events so if you usually marshal on stages, road rallies, autotests, PCT’s etc, you will need to be registered on the MSA Marshal Accreditation scheme.
If there is a reason you do not want to register with the scheme, you can continue to marshal with the buddying system, which will allow non-accredited marshals to join accredited volunteers on events. This will also help to ensure we don’t lose opportunities to recruit new volunteers.
For 2017, all marshals will need to have completed the online scheme before marshalling unsupervised – a non-accredited marshal will not be able to man a junction on his or her own, for example.
MSA Marshal Accreditation training will next be run in Cambridge on Saturday 4th February.
You will need to register at http://aemc.org.uk/MarshalTraining as places are limited.
Kindest regards
