Javalin's Jumbo Jymkhana - 30th March 2008
At Woodbridge Airfield.
Welcome to the 7th running of “Javalin’s Jumbo Jymkhana”.
As in previous years, our intention is to maintain a wide variety of tests and in so doing retain the true spirit of a Gymkhana. The mix of tests will include skill accuracy for example guessing the width of a gate and then having the gap measured when you try and park your car between poles, judging the distance to travel a full circumference of the wheel etc., and some driving tests. Please note that we will not be doing the ball in a bowl on the bonnet or any water carrying tests as these are too time consuming.
Competitor feedback suggests that this is the sort of event you want to compete in so we do not intend to change the format, remember “it’s only a bit of fun”. This said, even ‘fun’ events need some rules to avoid ambiguity and dispute. Therefore to provide clarity for all competitors whether you are competing for fun or have that bit more of a ‘competitive’ side to your nature we have added some new rules and enhanced others. Hopefully we will have achieved the desired result.
