Inter Club 12 Car Team

We don't have any volunteers for the Inter-club team yet.

The Kings Lynn MC have a different definition of Novice to us, although it isn't detailed in the event regs. Edward Haylock said this when I asked:

I am classing anyone who is classes as a novice within their own club as novice for this event or anyone who has not entered a 20/20 or similar event as an expert or master. The event is aimed at navigators who are not as experienced i.e. someone who has no won more than 10 novice class events.

Does that help make anyone eligible?

Novices under KLDMC rules

Hi Tony

Of our current 12 car competitors I reckon the most recent experts are GrahamRobinson and Lucy Fryer, both of whom I would say fall within that definition.

Also Suze Endean who is a nvice according to our rules has volunteered.

Hope this helps us to field a team.

Unavailable

I'm unavailable now I'm afraid as I have made other plans as I hadn't heard anything/found a driver/didn't look likely.

Mercury Trophy

Here is the text of a message put out by the organisers, Kings Lynn and District MC.

The Mercury Trophy Friday 6th March 2020

We currently only have 3 official entries and 7 marshals for this event. If you are available to help marshal please get in touch with me. We have 1 crew from KLDMC entered and 2 teams from SCCON and I we have had no other official paid entries from other clubs. I will review the situation on Friday and if we dont have enough marshals or entries to viably run the event, we will have to postpone it to later in the year. A lot of work has gone into the organisation of the event so far so please dont let it go to waste.

Cheers.

Postponed

Further to my last post the Mercury Trophy inter-club 12 car has been pstponed due to lack of entries and marshals.  It is now planned to run in September with maybe different entry requirements. Thanks to those who have put a lot of effort into getting a route together.

Hi Paul,  I did not not pay attention to this thread because Jim and I are doing the CSMA 12 Car on the same day.

Reading the thread, its interesting that the definition of "Expert" is different between the Anglia Clubs.  Perhaps a common definition can be agreed.
