HYN one and all. As this is the first weekend of 2007 I thought I would start with every good intention of recording everything I do in connection with CMC and motorsport. Note this will be in summary form before I hear the gasps.
4/1/07 - Committee meeting at Boreham
5/1/07 - Visit Gordon Popperwell to see our new 106 Rallye Enduro car, now fully sorted, just awaits MoT, Tax and Insurance and it is go. Looks very pretty in white, must get some piccies to post up. Will be nice and cosy inside, need to get a new map board, one that is about 6" narrower, sideways not lengthways before you say it. GP and I go through this years calendar of events. Looks like a mixture of Historics in the Mexico and Enduro's in the 106 [the RS2000 is laid up for 2007], will also do some ASWMC and EMAMC rounds in preparation for a proper championship bid in 2008.
7/1/07 - Do the route for the Derek Stone 12 car on 23rd February, Motorsport UK permit done on line and copy of route to RLO and Essex Police, insurance applied for. Is a genuine 45 miles, but I intend having about 8 sections. Regs done and will publish as soon as I can confirm start/finish venue. Will use the 106 for driving the route etc, good test to see how it goes. Checked the entries for the Bagger on 21st/22nd Jan, we are seeded 41st!, and this after finishing 10th in 2005, looks like lots of Welsh guys competing.
