hi , could me and my other half compete in a 12 car rally in just our normal car as its based on navigation and maps reading etc.? or do i need some kinda certain stuff to compete in it?
is the rules and regs on this , having trouble finding some
thanks chris and kate
Hi Chris, john again, no specialised car required. There are a few historic take part, some ordinary road cars. And a few endurance cars. The emphasis is on navigational skills. There is 3 classes , beginner who get whole route 15 mins before start time. Novice who get theirs as they leave. Expert who get harder clues plot and bash. Ideally you will need a pottie map light and roamer along with pencils and large rubber. Other that that a good sense of humor and remember you have to go home with Kate later..any more info let me know and I can bring stuff to next meeting. John
brilliant thanks , will take you up on the offer of bring stuff to next meeting so i can have a look, will try find baby sitter so kate can come and listen in! the pottie map light ive seen on ebay, are they ok or is there one to buy else where?
ps roamer??

any good?
that's the one we have. I'm not expert (will i ever be?) but it serves us well...
also regarding the ebay poti, that's the one we're using too. Surely it's not as well built as a Don Barrow or one from the Basic Roamer Company but it suits our low budget expectations... ours hasn't broken yet and I can tell you that it bounces quite a lot in the Mini, it has been dropped quite a few times in Sofia's rush to hand the time card in time!!
No need to throw big money at these. There's less to fall out about in the divorce case
Best I buy two then because I am sure she will throw the first one at me! Lol
