Post codes and grid references

Sutnav's picture

During the Preston meeting the other night I confidently said that there must be a website to convert OS references to postcodes and vice versa easily.

I have since found this one, which is pretty handy as it a) is free, b) seems to work and c) actually is very useful.

You can either enter a 10 digit GR (you need the prefix letters) or click on a Google map. Once it returns the information, simply by a right-click you can open a new tab with the OS1:50000 map and the point indicated on it.

Spare remote control car for Rally Club?

If anyone has a remote control car tucked away in a loft or garage which doesn't get used any more, would you mind donating or lending it to KEGS Motorsport - the rally club I have set up at our school?   My idea being that apart from training up students on 12 car navigation, we could also have a go at some Targa style events using cones and a remote control car.   It would need to have reasonable handling to be able to go round cones but the range/distance wouldn't need to be too big as the students could walk near it.

I have recently been contacted by Sheena Lahive of IWC Media looking for contestants for a new TV survival show. Please see below and attached and contact Sheena directly if you are interested.

Do you think you and your family could survive in the wilderness?

IWC Media, part of the Zodiak Media Group that has made programmes such as Channel 4’s Shipwrecked, are looking for families to take part in a new survival TV Show
