Hi
just wondered if there is engine size limit, and cylinder limit, I belive cars have to be non turbo, not four wheel drive, I have the chance to buy a focus st 2.5 just wondering if it would be ok, is is it limited to max four cyl, and 2ltr!!
thanks
It is limited to four-cylinder engines, which in practise means the biggest ones are 2.5 L for petrol engines (but there isn't an actual capacity limit).
Isn't the Focus ST a five-cylinder turbo?
Forced induction is only allowed for engines below 1500cc, so that doesn't really help a Focus ST.
There is nothing in the rules against four wheel drive - you just can't use all the popular ones that have 2L turbo engines!
I think you are right, Tony. The 2.5 litre ST is turbo-ed, the earlier ST 170 was NA.
