Well, the One and Only is over but what a great event it was, no surprise there. Marshaled this year instead of competing, and it was cold up on Methwold, but it was a privilege to help out on this country's best road rally.
The Jan Jaunt 12-Car regs will be published here near the end of the year. We start and finish at the Prince of Wales PH in Mountnessing, and the distance will be about 55 miles. Marshals always very welcome, please see the regs for contact details.

The entry list for the 12 Car will close at 8.00pm this Friday, as per club procedure. The seeded entry list will be published here over the weekend. Beginners and Novices take preference over Experts, and we have 15 entries so far, 5 of which are Experts so it's likely 3 of those crews will not get a run. We will list 2 Reserves in case one or two drop out. If you are not on the seeded entry list please come and marshal, thanks!

Big thanks to everyone involved last night...organisers, marshals and fellow competitors. Enjoyed it last night with nore seeming to click into place though the coloured junctions had me confused....never seen roundabouts split up into multiple junctions before! Good to have something to really make you think!

Congratulations to Lucy and Luis, who seemed to get the better of Andys clues last night.
Perhaps you need to try your Year 7 navigators on the Expert clues, they might be able to work out where we were supposed to have gone, as we didn't have a clue!

Thanks to all the marshals, course car, DSO, competitors and, of course, Andy and Chris for last night´s rally.
It was an unusual feeling for me as everything felt so calm in the office. Lucy was spot on and very confident with the plotting and the roads seemed to be more open and smoother than usual, some nice driving bits too. Thanks for cautioning that big puddle!
Proof of Lucy´s accuracy is that I´m not the quickest driver or have the quickest car in the world and we still managed to get round dropping only 2 minutes, never been that close to perfection before!!
We're trying to work out if we can do the next one.

We enjoyed the route and the challenging nav, thanks to all for coming out in the cold and then wet. Big congrats to Luis & Lucy, 0/2 is a very very good performance.
It took a while for the penny to drop that each exit on a roundabout is a separate jucntion, but that is learnt now for the future - which is what 12 cars are about, yes?
Thanks to all echo'd, especially the Marshalls who had to endure the cold evening and bursts of rain. Darren and I enjoyed the route, which seemed to plot very well until we got to the herringbone! We did get back on track, but missed a board and lost a bit of time sorting ourselves out. Annoyed we wrote a codeboard down wrong - again - must work harder on that one!
Both Triumph crews await eagerly the final results, as CMC results have a bearing on our Club Triumph league tables!

Well, thanks to all crews for competing, hope you all enjoyed it. Some ice in one or two spots but no-one came to grief thankfully.

It's always cold on the Jan Jaunt, but you come out to compete and marshal, much appreciated. And congrats to Luis and Lucy on a fine win in perhaps the lowest power/weight ratio car, well done!
