Colin - just to flag up i'd like to make myself available as a marshall for this one - happy to be sent wherever.
Thankyou for the prompt offer, I am sure we can find you 1 or 2 controls to man!
Cheers
Colin
Entry posted for Lucy and myself in the Mini. Some much needed TLC will be given to the car during the half term break... it canĀ“t come soon enough!!!
Entry for Jim Drake and Graham Robinson is in the post.
Graham
We still need some marshals for this event so if anybody is able to come out and help it would be greatly appreciated. Without giving anything away to competitors, all controls are in a reasonably compact area to the east of Colchester and easy to get to via the A12 / A120.
If anybody who is interested can please contact me via the email button above, that would be appreciated, and I will respond to your email later this week.
Thanks - Mike Banks

Hi Mike
Have you contacted the Everetts? They don't do internet or email so will need a phone call.

Thankyou Geoff, the offer is much appreciated.
I'm having a chat to Mike Banks tomorrow or Friday to get the marshalls sorted out, so we will let you know how deep the mud is, and how cold the wind will be in the chosen spot in darkest Essex.
Cheers
Colin
If you need a hand I'll be available for a control or two.

Hi Paul - no I haven't, but will do. Could you email me their phone number please? Also, are you and Peter still okay for Opening Car and TC1?
Good to see Vini having a go at navigating...
... and I'm liking the new spelling of my name, it sounds very dinosaury!!!
See you all next Friday :-)
Hi
My email address is
Geoff
We may possibly have a space coming available due to a Navigator not being available, so if anyone is interested.......
Are there some final details at some point? Or is it all just as the initial entry form. Thank you!!!

I'm pretty certain Colin will be sending these out tomorrow (Wednesday).
Yes but I think you mean course closer?

Sorry Peter, yes I did mean Closing Car.
I have just asked Tony Michael to add them to the website so they can be downloaded, they will be emailled out tomorow morning as well.
Cheers

Looks like I forgot to include it in the finals. Sorry!
It is as per the regs, approx 400m north of scrutineering at the south end of Stratford st Mary.

Congratulations to John Peterson and Ian Graham for a well deserved win, proving they really are experts at this game. They were run very close by 2 novice crews, so they didn't have it all their own way.
Full results when I return from a weekend of playing old Triumphs.
Cheers
Colin
Hi Colin,
Many thanks to you and all the marshals and officials for another great nights motor sport. Special thanks to the marshal at TC7 for the push.
Congratulations to John and Graham on their win.
Graham & Jim
Well done to John and Ian on the overall win and Jim and Graham on the novice win. Also to Gee and Vini, first time navigating in a challenging event and a massive smile at the finish.
Thanks to all the marshals, scrutineers/closing car and, of course, Colin and Mike for putting it all together.
It was an awkward feeling rallying in the big Toyota, it felt like a boat compared to the little Mini. I liked the power, though...
See you at Finchingfield for the next one supporting Graham organising his first CMC 12 car rally.
Luis
Ditto to Luis' comments....especially thanks to the marshals at each control who were so cheery as that really helped me to keep going and Luis being patient in the car. Nice tricky routes in places which got the brain whirring!!
Sorry I can't be at the next one...I have the delights of a school trip instead but best of luck to all for it!
Hi
A less than stellar map reading performance on my part meant that as course closer we were running well late, so didn't get to see too many of you cheery marshals on our way round and even missed the results by the time we got to the finish. Thanks for all coming to the finish to return your equipment, especially the clocks. Seems that the route was a challenge for some of the crews too - some very easy to miss slots!
Looking forward to scrutineering on the March Hare - apparently we have a MOT bay to do it in!
Cheers
Paul
Well done to Colin and the team of dedicated marshalls. A good choice of roads of varying speeds and grip, thanks to the marshall at TC7 for coming to the rescue when we left the road just infront of the marshall post........ To much speed aproching TC7 with very reduced visability due to dim lights as my mini slowly lost electrical power throughout the route.............. Just managed to finnish by dropping down to side lights at one point. Well done to Graham navigating by torch light after I told him to turn poti off to save losing power.
Well done to John and Ian for the win.
Good luck to all crews for the next one, I can't be there on the night, but will post your entries on the March Hare Forum in order of receipt.
