Pat. What sort of rear shocks do the Rovers use? Were these coilovers? Eye at the bottom and pin at the top?

They are coilover, with IIRC a standard bolt through bush on the bottom and then a proper two stud top mount on the top.

all parts now off the car. list as above but now with 11 17 inch wheels. 5 have a set of uniroyals with plenty of life left and i have four other tires that are almost new. i also have a brand new set of five 205 55 16 uniroyals that have done less than 20 miles.
