Hi Everyone,
I'll be attending the Bonfire Targa on the 6th November, this will be my first ever event. I'm sure you'll all be a friendly bunch, and I have many questions, but will just turn up and hope for the best.
My main concern is the requirement for a spill kit, I don't have one, and have pretty much run out of time to get one sorted. Would a made up kit be sufficient? I can get hold of some absorbant pads, and possibly some granules. Or has someone got a spare one I could buy off them on the day?
Thanks in advance,
Emma.
Hi Emma,
A made up kit should be fine. Cat litter granules should be okay and probably cheaper than buying some proper stuff from halfords. If you want, I could weigh the granules in my spill kit so that you know how much you need?
I have found that my old spill kit has "escaped from the bag" after being thrown around on so many events in the Fiesta , so it is time to buy a new one, for the new car and I too have left insufficient time to order one off the net.
Halfords only appear to do a 15 litre kit at £35 ( or 30ltr at £65 )which is a bit OTT as an Motorsport UK sized one should cost £7 - £10 .
If anyone out there has any spare to sell , and can bring on Sunday, let me know. I can share the kit from my double driver , so I'm not not desperate.
Jim

All ready. Thanks to a great set up crew. Roll on tomorrow
Did we end up getting enough marshals to run all the tests?
Yes Paul did a sterling job and we have all bases covered
That's fantastic. Thanks in advance to all those who volunteered.
Found the head gasket gone tonight so non start tomorrow. Hope you'll forgive me not marshalling so I can start getting it fixed for the Preston. Has anyone got a ZR engine for sale that's ready to slot in ?
