As per title, well done to all the organising team for a great day. The tests were really good fun and I enjoyed the changing conditions.
My usual mid table, 33rd overall, result with a 25th fastest time in one of the tests. Happy with that, I guess...
Massive thanks to the marshals that suffered that miserable weather, your commitment is hugely appreciated. Good marshalling practice for the Preston, although I've booke a dry night for the 3rd December
Until the results are uploaded onto the website, here are the online ones http://www.vola-racing.com/rallypro/nicholls/
A big thank you to the organisers, marshals , set up team , and clear up helpers for yesterday. Plenty of challenges from the weather and with JC falling sick on the day so well done to all.
Jim
I would just like to thank all the organising team (JC, DT, GL, GN and PB) for their up-front hard work and to the marshals for their support and resilience on the day. This made my task as stand-in C of C an enjoyable experience. I would also like to take this opportunity to wish John a speedy recovery.
Progress on the mornings tests appeared to go well with some crews being caught out by the tighter, more demanding route, this appeared to catch a few of the more seasoned crews by surprise.
The change in conditions over lunch made progress far trickier opening up the field.
Well done to all the class runners up and winners and to David Lobb / Adrian White for the overall win.
I would also like to thank everyone who helped out at the end of the day with the clear up at the end of the day, this allowed us all to draw the event to a close swiftly and head home at a reasonable hour.
Many thanks
Paul Dumbill
Stand-In C of C.
Many thanks to organisers and marshals for what must have been a VERY cold days work. The event was great fun from both seats.
Cheers Matt Endean - Car 9 Red Micra
On behalf of the whole organising team, and the competitors, I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all the marshals who turned out in the wind and rain to give us a great day's motorsport. When I went round for the checksheets (some decidedly damp in the afternoon) you were all so cheerful - I'm not sure I would have been in your shoes.
We hold a Marshals Prize Draw at each of these events and this time the winners are:
£50 first prize - Martyn Armstrong
£10 runners up - James Ellington, John Boot, Keith Pettit, Hugh Hutton, Chris Slack.
You guys can expect an email from the club to arrange for payment details.
Thanks agin to all of you!
Paul
Thanks to all the marshals and everyone else involved in the event, an enjoyable day.
