The Anglian Inter-Club 20/20 will run again in 2017, this time on a Saturday night.
Entries will open on the 1st December 2016.
Who would like to be in the Chelmsford team?
We will probably need 1 Master, 1 Expert and 1 Novice, but the exact number will depend on the number of clubs who wish to field a team.
Hi Tony, Emilie and I would love to represent the club as a Novice entry.
Ben & myself would like to be part of the team as Experts.
Brian and I would be happy to cover the Master slot if needed ?
myself and rich baker would also like to do this event in the expert class
Keith and Martin would also like to put our names foward for this event for the Novice Class
i notice 4 people have an entry for this event. i dont see any entryb form though. does this mean you dont want any more, is it a done deal first come first in or is it by invitation as was last year ( when i won it )
5 clubs will put forward teams for the 20/20, so we have teams of 4 crews. 2 must be novices, and we can have 1 master and 1 expert.
Like last year, club reps have to pick their teams and send the entry form link to them. Sorry Pat, but Ed and Ben Scott were the choice for the Expert slot.
One of the novice volunteers did rather too well on the Preston...
thats fine tony. ed and ben are the in-form team so i will have to be satisfied with the fact that i taught him all he knows. i just didnt teach him all i know
Hi all
Following the success of the AMSC Inter-Club 20/20 last January we are running it again. Teams of 4 crews, including at least 2 novice navigators will be invited to enter by club competition secretaries. If you aren't chsen to compete we would still love to see you as marshals or othe officials. We need at least 8 marshal crews to cover the time controls, and more to cover manned passage checks, noise test, scrutineering etc. Offers for course cars would also be appreciated.
Please contact me on
to offer your services.
Thanks
Paul Brewerton, Chief Marshal.
I can marshal on this Paul. Probably with Janet.
Jim
Thanks Jim. Hoping to pick up a few volunteers from the other clubs at the AMSC meeting tonight.
Paul
Leigh and me are booked in for WSMC as novices for the 20/20 and as the entry list shows us as unpaid I tried to pay the entry but so far I have not been able to find a link to pay even though it says entries online via Chelmsford motor club website. Any help appreciated maybe I have become a technophob in my old age...
Hi Colin,
Your individual payment page is shown after you enter, or you can access it with your entry number and password here:
https://mtc1.uk/Entry/AIC17/EntryEditLogin.php
Your entry contains no details other than your names, so I guess it was made on your behalf by your competiton secretary. Please ask them for the password, or send me your email address.
Tony
Hi Tony, Yes it was made by wsmc we are running an MX5 so I will update and pay as soon as I can my email is estovervilla at gmail dot com
thanks
Colin
Good to see an almost full entry. Cambridge and Kings Lynn are fielding a joint team. I believe there is one more to come from ECMC and one more from CCC/KLDMC then we will be full.
Thanks for the response to my appeal for marshals - we are almost there in terms of covering controls but could still use a few more.
Have a good Christmas and New Year and roll on the 7th!
Cheers
Paul
Hi Paul
My wife Karen and son Joe are willing to marshal on the 20/20 next weekend but they've never done it before so will need guidence. They have their own car.
Thanks
Simon Rowan. 07887 533411
I will have completed the finals later today and will email them as soon as I can - there is some pre-plotting to do in them.
Colin.
Final instructions were emailed to all competitors' e-mail addresses as per their entry forms this morning.
If you are reading this, should have received them but have not then please contact me as soon as possible.
Otherwise, everything looking good.
Colin.
Hi Colin nothing received

Congratulations and well done to our 2020 team of Gordon Popperwell/Brian Jaggs, Ed and Ben Scott and Rob and Emile Russell on retaining the AMSC Mercury Trophy Inter club 2020, by just 2 points from Eastern Counties on a nasty foggy night in North Suffolk. Well done also to Simon and Tim Rowan who had to retire with exhaust problems.
On behalf of the organisers I'd like to thank all the marshals and course cars who helped make the event happen, and particularly Colin Sutton for running the event so well.
Paul Brewerton
I echo the appreciation to Colin, Paul, all marshal's, course cars etc and also the competitors who made it a good night. I had a disastrous start on the navigating front, a fail (WD) on first section and then 20 minutes sorting out route to TC3 afterwards, I so almost called it a day and retire to head home early. A few years ago that is what we would have done so getting 3rd overall just goes to prove that you never know what is going to happen or how other crews may fare.
I was impressed by the quick tyre change at STC9 by the guys in the Astra, they had been on time all the way, changed the wheel and still only left the TC 2 minutes behind their due time.
Might be worth swap the locking wheel bolts for normal ones before the next outing!
