April Blossom - Marshals!

The finishing touches are being put to the April Blossom route this weekend - even if I say so myself, it's an absolutely cracking route...

I've already exchanged e-mails with Scott (see above) but clearly he won't be able to cover all the controls himself so I'm putting out the plea for more manpower please.

So, if you're available and can assist please contact me (

or call/SMS 07885 783536).

Thanks,

Ian

It's great to see a full

It's great to see a full entry for Friday; a fitting end to the winter series and a nice way to top off a superb week for CMC.

Possibly

Hi John,

Car 1 - Richard Gormley withdrew as his navigator was unwell. I will suggest it to him.

Should have brought a boat ...

Really enjoyed the Blossom, even if the Golf thought it was a re-run of 'Titanic' .  Lovely roads, quirky place names, challenging navigation, quite tight timing (mainly due to the state of the roads). Thank you to the organisers, and particular thanks to the marshals for standing there gently dripping awaiting our arrival !

Thanks

Many thanks to Ian and his team for an enjoyable evening of motorsport.  A big, big thank you to all the marshals for coming out and enduring the rain.  Well done to all the crews in the tricky conditions.  Challanging navigation on short sections with lots to plot.  A fitting finale to the season.

Cheers.

Graham & Jim

Thanks

I also wish to say thank you to the organisers and especially the marshals for braving the rain.  It was a good tight event and we even had issues getting from the final control to the finish due to the fake “road closed ahead” notices in the area, managing to get lost in a residential are of Hertford! So much for being an “expert” navigator!  Thanks also to Alister for providing the car, even if it does leak.

Cheers, Simon

Thanks All

Thanks to the organisers and marshals last night.  A foul night weather wise but some super little roads to drive in the Spitfire, even if it was bottoming out in places and swimming in others. A good driver's route. However, we did not do well and time beat us.

Well deserved congratulations to Graham and Jim, with a very impressive winning score. That was a magnificent win; well done!

Congratulations to Jim and Graham for a very well deserved win, the navigation certainly got the better of a number of us, but not them, and we were all supposed to be experts!

Looking for an excuse for my poor performance, I am blaming the after effects of the previous weekend, running around moving Melba Logs and such-like.

Good roads, and so much water.

Colin

Thanks also from me for a

Thanks also from me for a good event - really tested the brain and making choices based on time allowed - choosing to cut sections near the end to only just keep from entering OTL. Looking at the results I hadn't realised at the time just how close we'd been to OTL by STC5! Luis was absolutely awesome on Friday and not only drove brilliantly in that weather but deciphered a lot of the clues for me whilst I drew it on the map (and tried to remember my lefts and rights on the herringbone which for said a lot of the state of the brain at the beginning of the event!)

Had a lovely chat to the barman and another local after the event who were clearly interested in what it was we'd actually been doing  :)

Thanks to Ian and all others involved in organising/sorting results etc and to all those wonderful marshals who stood out in horrible weather and near puddles for us. Well done to Jim and Graham!
