Hi all
I bought 4 maxsport rb5 tyres for sprinting
1st outing on them at debden I won the class so initionaly very happy .
2nd outing 12 miles later and a month has passed . I noticed 2 of the tyres had bolges close to rim 1 offside 1 kerbside . The rim protector has come off half way round .
Contacted jjc race and rally guess what ?
Not covered under warranty as it's not a quality issue what bull!
Spoke to Bryn at maxsport and guess what ?
It's down to jjc race and rally to decide on a refund
More of the tyre is now outside the rim just under air pressure without driving it.But not a quality issue !
Any thoughts ?
IIRC they are remoulds, I haven't used these specifically but I have had issues like this with remoulds many times before. Not a tyre I would now choose to run as the risk of issues with remoulds is too high.
Just a shame quality is so bad when compound is great and the supplier does not give a hoot
