For the first time in a long time CMC are involved with running an Autotest / Autosolo/ PCA . The venue is smooth tarmac & no reversing.
In conjunction with Club Triumph we are using the Chelmer Valley Park & Ride Car Park, near Channels - an event in our home town!
The Regs & Entries are appearing on a link to the Sapphire Entries system which we will also use for timing.
The payment link isn't live yet but will be soon.
A link for marshals will also appear soon.
I'm keen to encourage newcomers and support the Motorsport UK Streetcar initiatives. I hope to bring some Howard Joynt Micras from SCCON down to be driven by newbies that dont have suitable cars.
Jim
I have uploaded a payment link and look forward to the treasurer telling me who's paid. I will email those that dont.
I note also that the Sapphire Entries system also allows marshals & officials to sign up. if this system is used there is no need for competitors or marshals to sign on at the event. Marshals will receive a £6 allowance to spend at the nearby Macdonalds or Costa .
If anyone has difficulty using the Sapphire system let me know
Hi,
Bit of a random question, but does anyone know the high restriction at the Park & Ride?
The website states 2.0m (https://www.essexhighways.org/getting-around/bus/park-and-ride/chelmer-v...), but snooping on streetview the barrier appears to be 2.1m (https://goo.gl/maps/b2a3Zn1ycagEDL1DA). I can't figure out which is the latest information..
This is kind of important to me, as my van is 2.1m, so want to be sure I fit in (or will need to find an alternative towing solution..)
Many thanks!
Mark
Yes Mark it is 2.1 mm but as long as we do not have too many high roofed vehicles we can park them by the buses and you will have to drop your car off then drive it in.
Final Instructions to be posted soon.
The diagrams may not get posted until Friday but we will have soe hard copies availble on Sunday.
Jim
Beat me to it Jim - went there on the way home from the office with a tape measure!
Thanks guys! That's great news :-)
