The CMC March Hare 12 Car 2026 is only 4 weeks away on Friday 20th March. I am taking this opportunity to invite volunteers to help marshal the event. I am looking for 6 Time Control teams with two team covering 2 Time Controls. I am also looking for crews for the Course Cars:- Equipment, Opening and Closing cars. Jim Drake has already volunteered to drive one of the Course Cars. He just needs a navigator.
If you are able to help on the night, can you please let me know via this forum or via any of the Club Officials. I will be at Thursdays Club Night on 26th Feb so you can speak to me there.
Graham

The last 12 car of the Winter/Spring of 2026 is now looking viable with 5 entries , 2 promised and 2 possible - as of today.
Please contact Graham Robinson or myself if you are thinking of competing or marshalling or preferably just Log On to the event link.
This is the first time we are using our Club Night Venue at Little Waltham, Chelmsford as a Start & Finish.
Jim
With 3 confirmed and 6 potential entries, it is looking promising that the event will go ahead. We would very much appreciate more volunteers to help marshal the event. If you are available and would like to help doing a Time Control can you please sign-on via the event banner on the club website.

The March Hare 12 Car on Friday 20th starting from our club night venue in Little Waltham has a full house of entries including 4 Beginner crews and 3 Novice Crews.
At the time of writing we need One marshal to do a Single Control near Braintree. Any extra marshals will enable us to double up the marshals that are out on their own. No experience required.

Thankyou to Graham, Paul (&) Paul and Jim, and all the others involved in running last nights event. A most enjoyable night - with a few extra challeges thrown in for those running later on the road.
Congrats to John & Crow.
See you next season........
I would like to say a big thank you to all the officials, marshals and crews for supporting last nights event. It didn’t go quite as I hoped but that’s another story. Congratulations to John and Crow for the win. A much better outcome for John than his last time with us. I must mention Jim Drake and Andy answering the call to help Matthew and Evie after a second puncture forced their retirement at TC8. After some discussion at the finish, it seems MG ZR wheels fit a BMW MINI. Luckily Jim had his rally car and 2 spare wheels so he and Andy sped off to help.
My thanks to Paul Barrett, Jim Bowie, Paul Brewerton and Tony Michael for all their support with the planning of the event. It would not have happened without your help.
Graham.
Well done to Graham for putting together such a challening finale to the 12 car season and to all the crews for rising to these and a few additional unplanned challenges on the route. The results are attached, with penalties between TC4 & TC5 removed and the timeschedule 're-based' to reflect the delays incurred. Everyone managed to get to TC5, but the first route check after it - the loop south of Barnfield - was missed by quite a few crews. Ben and Steve missed out on a clean sheet by driving past a board south of Bartholemew Green that everyone else found. The beginner crews had a tough time- not just punctures, but mal de navigateur and the route problems, but it was good to see some many first time competitors and we hope you will come back for more. Congratulations to Aston for getting round fail free for a beginner class win and 4th overall.
