Javalin's Jumbo Jymkhana will now be held at MOD Woodbridge on 1st July. Debden is no longer available owing to a mix up of dates at the base - an ATC Wing Day with 1200 air cadets is being held (but the ATC forgot to tell the base commander's office!). The driving tests will be challenging as usual, but not as much gravel as at Debden. We hope to be back at Debden later in the year.

JJJ 1st July - Venue Change
We do need to good team of marshals for the JJJ. Please would volunteers register on the website or contact Rob Dillon 07774 743600
Usual bribes of food & £100 prize draw apply.
We have registered to marshal for this. My only experience is doing a couple of passage checks at the Xpart and a TC on a 12-car rally but I guess any of that applies to a gymkhana. We hope to be of help anyway...

Thankfully, there is no hassle like that for Woodbridge (or Debden for that matter). Honington has been different as the tests are within a live base.
Planning for the JJJ is now in its final phase and the event is definitely running, although we'd like a few more entries (and marshals).
The JJJ starts National Motorsports week (which will by finished locally by the two Autosolos - the date for the Waterbeach one was moved to accomodate the JJJ so please support that event as well (we didn't know about the 7 Oaks at the time of setting the date)).
There are three test layouts planned - similar in area and length to the November Motex event - all smooth open surfaces and no buddleia sections (we'll save those for the November event). So drivers with low-slung or delicate cars should consider entering the JJJ. The test will be 1.5 - 2.5 miles long and will be separated by some simple skill tests which could have an impact on the overall result if not taken (too) seriously...
We aim to do two runs in the morning and two in the afternoon, with a final and slightly longer test to finish the day on.
I'm looking for a double drive in someone's car . . .
I have a feeler out with Paul Dumbill but may be 2nd in the Queue & his car needs an MOT . . . so if someone else will let me wear out their tyres I'll pay their entry fee.
I have passed on some of my skill test ideas to the organisers . . .in fact I've promised to lend them my balls . .
Hi Jim . Dean has entered me as navigator for this but my son is also keen for me to sit with him .Don't really want to double navigate as i was quite ill last time i tried it .
