Well done to the West Suffolk team for yesterdays slick running of the Targa Rally at Woodbridge and to the 51 crews that both started and finished the event.
I'm now putting my mind to the first Targa Rally for 2013 which should be at Honington on March 10th.
.
Well done to WSMC and the CMC team involved in the very smooth running of the Targa Rally yesterday.
As newcomers we couldn't have asked for more. A day of trouble free motoring, beautiful weather and great fun in good company... and we didn't come last!!
is it March yet?

Just a brilliantly run event, thanks. The poor old Motorsport UK take a lot of stick, much of it justified, but this format ought to be very well-supported. Especially if the organising team are as efficient as yesterday, and the venues as good. I really think that, properly marketed, the format could bring a lot of new blood into both motorsport and motor clubs. Quite simply, anyone who fancies some competitive driving has only to find someone to read the (easy) diagrams, and for £40 off they go. As an entry-level type of event it has so much going for it.
Oh, and thanks to Ding for magicking up a fan belt, when I realised my spare was in the spares bag, which was in the garage......
Also looking forward to March - it is Sunday 10th, right?
The next Targa Rally will be at RAF Honington on Sunday March 10th.
The new Blue Book of Motorsport UK rules is expected to be published in the next few weeks so there may be some more refinements to the rules (maybe allowing vehicle classses) but the concept remains the same - short but challenging 30mph driving tests. Navigators must be at least 12 years old. Proper grass roots motorsport.
A real good day , every one looked like had fun, looking forward to taking part in the targa next year , just noticed I won a tenner in the marshal draw, can some one tell me if this is ok to put towards membership and I will make up the difference on club meet night? And how much is membership? Many thanks
Ps Kate was gutted she missed it and is now making sure I have the car finished in time, I used to get that look for spending to much time in the garage , now I am being sent ........... Nice one cmc, !! Lol
