What a bummer! Adam has an entry for the Jan Jaunt, will he make it? Everyone - keep your eyes open for the red Pug, maybe it's unlikely it will be spotted but you never know. The number plate's unmissable. Or if you see 106 parts on ebay or elsewhere that seem suspicious then report back to Adam.
Very sorry, mate. There are better times ahead.
Andy

that's really good news!!!
don't know if you're allowed to share details but interested in knowing where the car was taken from and where it has been found...
It was taken from outside my house, not sure where it was found as they haven't told me.
All security devices on the market will now be fitted and as originally planned it will be kept in storage. £150 bill for a privet relay company (thanks police I could have walked from my house) can't pick up the car till sat but that good with me.
Yes, I had some pretty good results in this car. I owned it for about 2 years and did a lot of work on it. Finished 1st in class and second overall on the huntsman rally 2011 and a lot of auto testing and national b stuff. Why did Dave sell it do you know? I thought he was getting on we'll with it. Pleased you got the car back, It went really well when I had it. What are your plans, is the spec still pretty much the same? I think Dave used my old advert again when he sold it.
As far as I know its the same, I'm planning to so lots of endurance races this year, 12 car and maybe some stages.. also some Targa but I'm not sure what they are yet haha.
The shocks could do with changing what would you recommend?
Which shocks do you mean, front or rear? What is wrong with them?
Rear are fairly simple road rally Bilsteins.
Front were really expensive Peugeot sport coilovers with adjustable platforms. If they are getting a little tired they can be serviced, but are probably the best model shocks for the car. Did Dave change the springs?
Both rear shocks have slight oil misting.. They are still the same springs, do you think they could be getting a bit tired?
I've entered the xpart so I'm just getting the pug sorted out
Sounds like the rears might need a service they do get worked hard as they are so short. Front's should be fine, they are really good shocks.
I'm navigating on the X-Part this year so will be good to see the car out. I don't know if Dave used it much since I sold it.
I have some spares still in my garage, there is a brand new throttle cable in it's packet I used to carry in the car as a spare plus a few other bits if your interested? Say £10 for the cable and will have a dig around. Could bring to X-Part.

This is my old car!
Pleased it has been found, I sold it just over a year ago. Who did you buy it off?
Jonathan
Dave Thompson.. Did you win anything?
