XPart Tyres

Called Sportway Tyres today to buy 4 new 14" tyres for the Endurance, and Sportway don't have stock.

Anyone any ideas, maybe some they aren't going to use and want to sell....

Spoke to someone else who was intending to buy some this week as well, so the supply of tyres may have an impact on entries....

Phoned last week and they

Phoned last week and they were out of stock waiting a delivery.
They said a new stock was due in so placed an order for two, they arrived yesterday.

Ed, as you aren't doing the

Ed, as you aren't doing the championship, you don't have to use Sportways. I understand from some M&H forum posts (and Paul's) that stock of the 14" Sportway has arrived and is being shipped. If you have still missed out, then the Firestone F580 in Blue Book list IV has been popular in the past. Even old Colways are allowed - I believe Ben Dawson has some available.

The Falken ZE912 isn't bad - I've done a fair bit of Britvic/XPart/Peston route in the past on the earlier version of those.

Tyres sorted

Have resolved the tyres, found a couple of odd ones and purchased the last two from Sportway, but as they note in the above post, they are bringing forward the next delivery so they will be back in stock in time for the XPart.
I know Keith Lane is ordering some today, but sounds like they will be able to supply with the new stock.

Craig, give a quick call to Samm. I received my marshaling instructions last week. Have you checked the spam/junk folder on your email?

Splendid X Part Endurance

What an incredible event. Congratulations to the organisers, marshals & crews that finished and commiserations to those that didn't.

There are lots of postings on M and H ( highly recommended) , and some on the BRF.

I was "only marshalling" but that was 19 hours of satisfying work , excluding the night rally route clear up on the way home. A baptism of fire for my driver Mark who had never seen a rally before! I wont say where he works but we talked an awful lot about insurance. Mark - I do hope you can bring uncle Bob to the Targa Rally.

Found Nav's Kit.

Whilst clearing up at Wratting I found a bag of Nav's equipment which must have been thrown from a car ( I don't mean a tantrum).
There was a varied collection of pens, rubbers etc, but also a good head torch and a nice small led torch too. One or two pens had been run over but ther rest is OK. If it's yours let me know, either by posting here or by asking Bob or Jamie to give you my email or phone number and I'll find a way of returning it.

xpart video

You don't see many videos of endurance events. Jack, my first timer marshaling partner on the day, took some videos and photos of our PCs. This one is from Lackford Reservoir, probably the second run and despite what it says on the intro I'm pretty sure we were PC 2... it looks very professional to me!

and check out the awesome marshal!;-)
