Operational issues at RAF Honington, a live RAF base, mean that we do not access to the venue for the next few months.
Consquently the 10th March Targa Rally will now be held at Woodbridge, where the organising team are busily designing some new tests.
Anyone wishing to cancel their entry will get a full refund, but we hope you will all enjoy a return to Woodbridge.
A Honington Targa later in the year is still on the cards.
The Cadman Construction Honington Stages in April is cancelled but we hope to be back there again next year.
Luis - so sorry to have messed up your hotel booking in Thetford (!) but better an event at Woodbridge than none at all - especially as your bro has come to sample the fun. I owe you a drink.
The tests will have lots of variation, wont repeat without changes and wont be "mega long". They'll be longer than they would have been at Honington but will not be tyre and brake busters - this is not a stage rally.
Lots of marshals are needed so let Debs Dumbill know you are coming. The marshals will move about more than usual as the layouts will change radically.
Don't mess with the RAF!!
I appreciate the effort of changing the venue to Woodbridge so that we can still have a good day out, I guess the easiest thing would've been to cancel it...
looking forward to it!
Is it OK for a driver of one car to navigate in another?
Not at the same time, obviously, but where people A, B, and C have Car 1 and Car 2, A drives Car 1 with B navving, then C drives Car 2 with A navving?
Just thought I would check before sending in second entry.
Colin.
Colin, yes this is possible.
I'm ging to brush off the dust from the Metro after its Preston repairs and come for a hoot. Anyone fancy pointing me in the right direction?
Hi there. Is there any chance of getting in to the venue to do some pics.I know that youve got your own photographer, but Im trying to do as many venues as possible with all polish lads.
I can leave even my memory card with all pics taken that day for you to check etc.
Hi, I have checked with the organising committee and it has been check with Andy and it's agreed it will be ok for you to come and take photos.
Can you send me your email address so i can send you all info and passed needed.

SOM Woodbridge Targa
Entries up to 74.
For this event to run, we need more marshals to register with our chief marshal Debs Dumbill at
All marshals will be put into the prize draw, recieve some goodies and a voucher for food on the day.
These events can not run without marshals.
Anyone need a Co-Driver for the Targa? I would like to drive but I'm working Saturday so won't get time to load the trailer.
Please call or text me on 0773 301 4144... Thanks Vince.
I’ve now got a seat, thanks for your interest… Vince.
Dear All
many thanks to all that have registered to help marshalling on the Woodbridge Targa Rally
,But we could do with a few more !!
free lunch included,
if anybody fancies a day out please get into touch
help a first time chief marshal out !!!
I'm sure all these absorbent pads will soak up battery acid.
The cheapest Spill Kit I know of is from RPS:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorsport UK-Regulation-Spill-Kit-Race-Rally-Off-Road-/260841658263
A full tank should be plenty, but one of the other 328 competitors could be more specific.
Make sure you arrive at Woodbridge with at least 4 gallons in the tank - allow 20 competitive miles (at 10 to the gallon) 15 miles linking back and forth to the tests, and 20 miles to get from the base back to the Woodbridge bypass filling stations.
Thanks Tony for anwering the spill kit question.
The organisers are delighted to see the entry list running at 77 drivers but must remind you that it is the first 75 to PAY THE ENTRY FEE that will guarantee acceptance. Please sort out your missing navigators, particularly if drivers are to navigate for other drivers in different cars, as we need to seed the running order next weekend.
If you have not checked the regulations since entering, it is now an Motorsport UK permit requirement for all competitors to be CMC members. It's only £10 per family for the whole year ( other Targa's planned) and payment can be made on the day.
Convoy runs are no longer permitted so to negate the possible advantage to the second drivers (or crews swapping seats in different cars), the "second" drivers will start the second run of tests first ( with changes) plus one not used on the first run. We hope to run 17 tests over 4 laps, and with a full entry we will now open the venue & start scrutineering/noise from 07.00 with the first timed runs at 9.00 or possibly earlier. Check the Final Instructions on here next week and adhere to the running order instructions on the day.
Some tests will run close to bushes & through narrow buddleia sections. There are no jumps /yumps & sump guards are not required. You will also cross short earth/grass strips to access roads on some new test routes but road tyres are fine & knobblies will not be required.
We need to know who is coming to the venue as we need to issue vehicle passes. Please ensure that the Entries Secretary, Chief Marshal , Secretary or Clerk of the Course know you are coming. We do realise it is Mothers Day so if Mum is not driving she can have a free lunch in return for marshalling!
Check the requirements for scrutineering - including a basic spill kit.
If you have any queries email the appropriate official , or post on here - especially if it may be relevant to other competitors.

gallons? what's that? you do realise only metric units are taught at schools nowadays, right???
:-) just joking... I couldn't help it!!
We lost the Targa forum access for 12 hours yesterday but our intrepid webmaster has brought us back.
Firstly Lokryn, we cannot accommodate spectators at this event. We are putting on a club motorsport event for club members, at a military base and the access gates will be locked for most of the day. However, we do not want to put people off, and welcome your adult friends and family , however inexperienced, to marshal alongside someone who can show them the ropes. If you have any specific access questions email me on
with a phone no and I will call you.
To Luis, the teacher! Can you tell me when we will have metric minutes, hours, days, weeks and years !? It could make setting the Test Target Times easier than 30 mph! I'm OK buying my fuel in Litres but my fuel readout is still set on mpg. Kilometers are just for grid squares when plotting (!) and getting to towns quicker when driving in Europe!!
Could the drivers without navigators "sort themselves out" please, especially if they are going to "match up" with another navigatorless driver as we will have to seed them 30 minutes apart.
What's the deal with spectating? I know a few people who are interested in watching such an event. Can you watch enough of it to make it worthwhile or not?
Your spectators can apply to marshal if they wish to see beyond the service area with Debbie Dumbill at targamarshal @ chelmsfordmc.co.uk or through the marshal registration page.
I am now looking for a navigator for this event, as my original navigator had to drop out due to illness.
If there are other drivers looking for navigators, I am happy to navigate for you, if you will do the same in return.
Let me know ASAP if interested.
Cheers
Hi, what are Targa rallies like? I've done several autotests and autosolos (inclding a couple with CMC in my Boxster) and historic rallies in my Midget (including the East Anglian Classic). I like the tests on the historic rallies becuase they feel like a "real" rally - going against the clock on narrow roads through forests while someone shouts instructions, even though they are kept at lowish speeds. I'm not so keen on autotest / solos as cones on a disused runway are not the same to drive round as trees. However, the targas are very good value.
thanks
Hi Ben my Navigator has just let me know he cannot do the Navigating for this event.
So would be happy to share as have an entry already accepted, this is my first Targa but have had previous experience of auto solo's.
Regards
Jon
Sounds good to me Jon.
I'm much the same - mainly done autosolos before.
Will PM you my contact details etc.
Great news Ben, contact details would be great.
Targa would be the next logical step between Autotests and spending £100 to £250 per event on Road/ Endurance/ Stage rallies and the costs of preparing your car.
You can use your autotest car or your normal road car on these type of events. These are timed driving tests that are spread across the entire venue. There are cones involved and the venues natural features which include buildings and buddlier.
The entry list is full for next weekend but you can volunteer to marshal to get a real feel of what a targa is before you enter. Contact Debbie Dumbill to marshal. Email on my previous post.
Lokryn,
In my experience, and if anyone wants to pick me up on this I am willing to learn, club level motorsport is meant to be available to any standard car without modification.
Targas are a form of Rally and come under Appendix R in the Blue Book and Autotests, including Autosolos come under Appendix M.
The scrutineer will be interested in potential safety issues rather than compliance with any Class requirements such as would be expected on an Endurance Rally. The main areas of interest will be
Brakes: Is the Foot Pedal firm and are there any signs of leaks anywhere?
Seats and belts: Are they properly fitted and strong? You will be cornering faster than usual and will definitely want to be properly held in place.
Doors: Do they open as they should in case it is necessary for someone to help from outside?
Battery: Is this really secure and properly mounted? It must not be likely to come free. Also, the battery terminals must be covered so there is no risk of a short. Do both but particularly the positive.
Throttle return spring. There must be a positive return for thr throttle if the cable breaks. On a car with carbs a second return spring may be needed. Cars with some fuel injection have a very positive spring at the place where the cable fits and this may be enough.
Tyres: are they free from obvious failure points?
Appearance: Does the car look 'right'?
Bear in mind that your scrutineer only has about a minute to check your car over and in that time assumes accountability to the authorities if there is a catastrophic failure. Therefore make sure that everything looks right from the outset and that it seems you have cared. If it is a car/driver that he hasn't seen before he may be a bit more curious to make sure all is well. All this is for your benefit, though, as he might find something which could save you a problem.
If you are using a normal road car (s)he won't be interested in Air Con or heater. Your hydraulic handbrake may be looked at because it is a modification so do what is necessary to make it a proper installation. I suspect the main interest in inside lines is the risk of fire from fuel lines and remote oil tanks which can be under considerable pressure and this would be important in a fire or rescue event; also remote radiators but I don't expect this applies to you.
Things might not be quite as difficult as they first appear to you.
What type of hyd handbrake do you have i.e. if it seprate from the oem lever then you will need to remove the hyd handbrake lever as road rally cars are not allowed hyd handbrakes like that. Remember the event is heing run as a road rally so runs to road rally rules.
Hi Lokryn,
Not too stripped, I hope. You will be under Road Rally regs so need your interior trim to be in place.
To add to Tony's post - remember for some disciplines [and apologies, as no BB to hand and I'm not best with the tech stuff!] they will allow you to use a standard car, but will need some minor things doing - yellow tape to identify the negative lead to the battery for example, and carrying a spill kit as already discussed.
Can anyone who still has not changed their TBA's do so this weekend so we can seed you more accurately. Seeded Entry list and Finals will be posted next week
No interior is ok on this event, but a full road rally would expect it.
For the handbrake you can run a master cylinder off the back of the standard lever using a kit like this:
http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4092
Keep the cables attached for the MOT AND to pass scrutineering.
Is that confirmed Tony as i read it in the regs that trim needed to be fitted? Not too bothered either way, but not having to refit the trim will be one less job the weekend......
The event regulations deliberately do not require interior trim, in keeping with our past Gymkhanas.
I was thinking I'd just remove the vertical handbrake lever from my car if I used it (it is just a couple of circlips to remove to pull the pivot pins out) - I always reach for the standard lever anyway... Moving the master cylinder like you suggest seems a much better idea.
Ok good thanks :)
That what i have done with our vertical h/b lever, i removed it and secured the m/cylinder with bolt through the h/b mount.
My driver has had to pull out as of today, so anyone who has a seat going spare please text me yr name and number and i will get back to you asap. My mobile number is 07974764688 Regards Roy.
There will be an announcement about the Noise test requirements for Sunday later today on this forum.
Seeding will be finalised tonight, so any drivers needing navigators please sort them out. It may affect the running order if drivers are swapping seats in different cars. Roy Ineson is available to navigate.
Final Instructions with passes for competitors will not go on line until Wednesday as we have an organisers meeting tomorrow night to fine tune everything.
Jim C of C
Jim,
I've sent a request to Roy after getting the Metro sorted, hopefuuly him and I can make another crew.
Rich
No need to carry a spare during the event, just if you do it needs to be secure. However you may want to bring spare tyre(s) with you incase you wear out the 'competition' tyres.
The finals are "live".
No more entries can be accepted.
Competitors should receive passes with their personally emailed finals.
Yes, just print a second one for him.
Not received the finals with the pass yet. Should I have?
Cheers
Isaac
Yes, the email message with those was delivered to the email address in your entry (it didn't bounce). I've just sent it to the zeddy email address we have in your membership details instead.
Still haven't received an email. The zeddy address isn't used any more. The correct address is
. Would it be possible to send them again please. Thanks
Having never driven at Woodbridge before, is it particularly hard on tyres? I'll be arriving on road tyres but expect to be driving "enthusiatically" so don't really want to destroy them if the surface is harsh.
Is it worth bringing some spare wheels with a "sacrificial set"?
cheers
Mikey
I wouold bring a set of sacrificial tyres for the driving wheels, means no worries about how to get home legally.
To any last minute marshall's please ensure you register using the on line link on the web site
Note that this event does not accept spectators and anyone turning up without a pass runs the risk of being turned away.
Many thannks
Debs Dumbill
Thanks Suze, looks like another trip to the barn then. Need to mend the car and get it running first thought :-(
You may bring and use a Jerry Can for refuelling. There are some Health & Safety guidelines for refuelling at the back of the final instructions which you can read now. These are worded for stage rallies where cars would routinely re -fuel between stages with hot competition cars. There wont be enough room in the paddock to keep within the distances recommended. Just do it safely making sure everyone near the car knows WHEN you are re-fuelling & nobody smoking etc.
You will do less than 20 competitive miles on this event, (although it will feel like a lot more), and you shouldn't need to top up between tests unless your tank only holds 10 litres. The tests are timed at an average speed of 30 mph and your first objective will be to go the right way round the tests.
Jim
Just had text from fellow competitors staying in Ipswich Travelodge - its snowing!
BBC weather doesn't look good for early hours of morning either, although tomo looks to be wet rather than snowy!
Fingers crossed :-)
At 5.15 am just 4 miles from Woodbridge it is 1 degree C and mild drizzle. There does not appear to be any snow on the roads - I've driven 3 miles of back roads and the tests should be OK,
Please have a safe journey here I know the snow is much worse further north and in to Norfolk.
Jim
To all the intrepid die hard marshals,
From the chief marshal please accept my heartfelt thanks for turning out in such challenging weather conditions. My only regret is that I didn’t get round at the end to thank you all personally.
Your commitment and contribution allowed us to run another successful safe event with the initial feedback being very positive.
One again many thanks.
Deb Dumbill
Chief Marshal
I lost my digital black wristwatch at today's Targa. If anyone found it, please get in touch! Thanks.
I second Debs' comments - many thanks to all involved.
Thanks to all the marshalls and organisers that braved the weather today. what a great event cannot wait for the next, as this was my first event other clubs have a lot to live up to.
A BIG thanks to all marshals and organisers for a top days motorsport :)
Suze started the day very well being 4 th overall at the end of test 5 and me being 11th. This got my mind focussed in on trying a bit harder and on the second set of tests things seemed to go better.
Pleased to improve during the day with a fastest test and a number of top 5/10 tests during the day. A few what if's but thats always the case with rallying. Pleased to stay in the top 10 and only be a second off Owen.
A special thank you from me, to my team. Firstly to Debbie Dumbill in her first time role as a senior CMC event official as Chief Marshal. Debs family was also in full support, with Paul spending 3 whole days at Woodbridge with set up & clear down, and daughter Sarah & her boyfriend Danny 2 days grafting. To Karen & Ben Scott, as secretary, safety officer, test designer & all round moral support. To Marion & Gary Nicholls signing on, results, timekeeping & printing and finally to Dave Judd scrutineering, radio control & clear up.
The results are on a link on Tony Michaels's 9th/10th March forum post. Congratulations to winner Tom Jenkins and all the other award winners & finishers. I'm glad you enjoyed the tests, and look forward to seeing you all again soon..
We will certainly do our best to at least live up to today's standard.
Date for your diary for the next Targa event planned for this area is 19th May - venue Carver Barracks near Saffron Walden. Regs will be available soon.
Thanks for a great day as ever. CMC really are the best at organising any motoring event. All the marshals were stars out in icy winds with sleet and hail at times. We had to go early for our 400 mile journey home so we didn't get a chance to thank all the organisers personally. We really appreciate all the effort that goes into putting on an event like this. Well done we'll continue coming up for as many as we can. Cheers. Isaac & Sarah Zarmati
Wow what a superb and well run event! Massive thanks to everyone involved in organising and arranging this event. Special thanks to all the marshall and other officials who spent many hours standing around in the cold so that the rest of us could drive around and enjoy ourselves!
This was our first Targa and our first time at Woodbridge. Now we know what "hooning aound the buddleia" is all about!
We had a fantastic time putting the old Triumph Herald through it's paces, but had to retire early as we managed to bend a halfshaft when a tyre came off the rim as we were going sideways over a drainage channel. But we'll be back!
Thanks again :-)
Search on Facebook for M&H Photography, and keep an eye on http://www.mandh-photography.co.uk/
I suspect the poor photographer is still suffering nervous palpatations after the big green land barge almost took him out whilst doing a quite spectacular (even if I say so myself) donut just after I ran seriously short of talent.
We saw a few flashes then someone running away very fast..... :-)
Apart from the weather, which even a club as brilliant as CMC cannot change, it was a perfect event. That it was all laid on at such short notice after the venue change bears testament to the efficiency of the team. I am so glad I moved to the CMC area, and proud to be a member. Huge thanks to everyone but especially the marshals who risked hypothermia to let it all happen - though some looked warmer than I was, I really must find the wires for the blower in the Mini. Grateful thanks for a great day of sport from Colin, Ellen and Joe - who asks that the buddleia can be softer next time.
We left quickly as Joe had to be back to Surrey for a 04.30 alarm clock on Monday, and forgot to hand in our event critique forms. Can you put us down for 3 straight 5s for everything.
I lost my digital black wristwatch at today's Targa. If anyone found it, please get in touch! Thanks.
Hope it turns up Suze. In the same vein, my son lost my black VW chin spoiler at today's Targa. If anyone found it....... :)
A massive thank you to all the marshals, set up crews, organisers and Andy Manston for braving the bitterly cold weather yesterday. That the marshals still seemed to be smiling at the end of it all was astounding – what a bunch!
A great job by Jim and crew to find a different approach at a venue many of us have visited many times before. Definitely more of a team event and great, as a nav, to feel you could really make a difference.
It turns out that a 44-year old Italian car's heater is pants (who'd have guessed?!) and the demisting wasn't great, but we had a giggle anyway. We lunched a few cones and had a head on meeting with possibly the largest bit of buddleia (sp?!) but survived unscathed, other than a crumpled numberplate.
See Twitter - may have been found....
It turns out that a 44-year old Italian car's heater is pants (who'd have guessed?!) and the demisting wasn't great,
Trust me, the british weren't much better at making heaters 43 years ago either.... Now where is the shivering smiley...
I suspect there isn't actually a heater in the TR6 at all, he just told me it wasn't working. At least the heater in my green barge emitted faint wisps of warmth... occassionally.
An excellent time was had by Steve and I, not so good for Mike Helm and I, as we left bits of gearbox on the stop-astride at the end of no.5, ending our day prematurely. I suspect my lack of talent was what stopped me breaking my car. I really can't beleive we were 12 minutes slower than the winners, I'm sure they must have found a few short cuts that weren't in our roadbook.. :-)
Cheers
I think that was quite a step up from our usual gymkhana event and targa rally was a fitting description.Really enjoyed the choice of route, even the link section over the mud and the long stretch of water was a grin.
Many thanks to all the hardy marshals and well done Jim and team for a excellent days motorsport .
Much to our dismay our event finished by lunch halt when we lost power from the engine and all of our brake fluid, i think our off track excursion over a large lump of concrete might of had something to do with it.
Picked something up that resembled a chin spoiler, it currently resides within the equipment shed at Woodbridge.
#thecoldclearupcrew
Great event. Big thanks to all the organisers and marshals.
Firstly thank you for all the comments of praise to the team and the marshals.
A quick scan of the results shows Tom Jenkins Xsara VTS as a worthy winner , 2 fastest times, never more than 5 secs away from the fastest test time, and a 10s cone penalty - but still a winner by 9 secs.
Andy Elcomb MX5 2nd o/a , two fastest times, no known excuses for a couple of slower times but annoyed to be beaten by his co pilot Daren Hall on most tests. Daren MX5 3rd o/a 2 fastest test times but a spin on last test and puncture on 4 and all the way through 5 (no spare!) lost him aroung 25 secs - not quite enough to have won?
Chris Moore 4th double driving his Xsara with Jenkins one fastest time, lost 20 on test 2 but otherwise consistently fast. Ian Mepham 5th first time in new Rover, one fastest , two duff times, one my fault for moving R on the last test (sorry everyone) so a potential winner despite feeling ill.
Now for the flyers that didn't quite get the result they could have Piotr Kozimor Citroen C2 FOUR QUICKEST , and a disputed line fault (!) but held to 6th due to poor times on 1,6 & 15. Tomasz Marciniak Honda s2000 four quickest but new navigator Radek struggled a little but 8th still good. Ben Griffin 106 Rallye 3 fastest times and lots of top times but a Max on test 1 and inconsistent on first loop.
Without doubt the unluckiest "could have" is young Robert Dudley in MX5 car 108. Slightly advantaged having navigated dad round the first 5 tests he was leading the event until test 9. A maximum on this 1.54 miler missing ( a P in the buddleia I think!) had a drastic result as the bogey at 3.05 with a quickest of 3.25) meant he had a maximum of 6.10 and this 2.35 "loss" could have placed him 2nd, if if and if!!
Ding Boston had a max which could have got him towards 3rd o/a instead of 11th and Charles Thompson with 2 fastest times should have been higher than 30th. Superstar Owen Turner had a quiet day out with Fiona and came 9th with four top 4's but no fastests.
My intention was to make both crew members work, but not to "catch you out". I'm amazed that 19 out of 71 got a wrong test , or a time over the bogey limit on the very first Test . In fact, the bogey on this test was not too harsh, because although only 1.1 miles long ( not km as shown on results programme!) it was very twisty & nobody ever got within a minute of the 2.12 target.
I have to echo the thanks of others to both the organising team and marshals on what was a bitterly cold day! I’m sure Woodbridge will one day get to temperatures above freezing and be dry when we have an event there!
I thoroughly enjoyed the day, and enjoyed the variety to the tests that we provided, and although didn’t finish after having some gear selector rod “issues” was happy with my progress in setting some good competitive times when I managed to miss the cones and not run out of talent!

I was relieved to find we weren't the only ones who stopped / got very confused there, when we got back to the service area! :) I was confused, then the red mist came down with Matt and we spun costing us around 4 places overall on the last test. Doh!
Right, my brother took his flight back to sunny Spain this morning so everything is back to routine... and that means time to catch up with the forums!
First of all BIG thanks to Jim and the team behind the Woodbridge Targa for an epic day of motorsport. Special thanks to Debs and all her marshals, great to see familiar faces, for coping with the miserable weather and still being able to smile whenever we went through.
Where do I start? Until Saturday morning I wasn't sure if the little Mini was going to be ready. The 'new' upgraded engine was just fired up on Friday for the first time. I was advised to run it in sensibly for, at least, the first 500 miles... and we tried!
So, up to Thetford we drove on Saturday (remember I had booked my non-refundable rooms before the venue changed) and got there with no trouble other than the snow fall starting to get a bit worrying. The Premier Inn in Thetford was brilliant and a very recommended place to stay if you ever rally at Honington. A fine night out with Anton and the missuses(!) and off to bed we went at a sensible(ish) time.
It took us around an hour to get down to Woodbridge on Sunday morning, noise and scrutineering went OK. I couldn't help laughing when at noise I was asked to rev the car to 5k... really? Anton felt a bit overwhelmed with the organisation, I don't think he was expecting such a big event and the seriousness of scrutineering and signing on!
And off to the starting line. On his first ever event, Anton didn't cope very well with the navigation on the first test, as it was expected we got a worng test but from then he started to get the hang of it. The new engine really makes a difference but I didn't want to drive it very hard... yet!
To be fair with him my navigational skills were not much better and I think he ended up getting more WT than myself!
We really had a great laugh and I think it was a fantastic great family bonding experience.
Because of the double drive we didn't really get time to check the results during the rally but we are still rallying for the fun (and there was a lot of that!)and not for the win. We both had targets though; mine finishing on top of him, and his was not coming last. We both met our targets plus an extra one, I finished just a few seconds ahead of Colin and his beautiful Clubman.
Anton was quicker than me on a few tests, he is damn quick but I had to ask him to take it easier because of the new engine and after he had a very clouse encounter gainst a big buddleia thingy that ended up scratching the whole passenger side
Event finished and we headed back home to suffer the same awful traffic as most of the others but with a massive grin on our faces that still lasts today.
It was only when we got back home that Sofia told me about my 7th fastest time overall on test 10... what? really? was the marshal trying to warm himself up and I got the test wrong? I honestly don't recall getting it wrong but still can't believe it!
To sum up. A brilliant, exciting, epic day for us. So on behalf of me and Anton, well done CMC for giving us the chance to enjoy an event like this. He was impressed by the organisation and well pleased with everyone'sf riendliness... that's what's all about!
I will certainly be playing again at the Carver Barracks Targa in May but I'll need to find a navigator for that one... Andy, have you ever considered taking part instead of taking pictures
Thanks for reading and sorry for the brick, I hope my English is good enough for you to understand!!!
Luis (Mini car 21/121)
P.S. Andy, I can't wait to get my CD!!
link to results for the targa is now showing a different event... any chance of getting them back?

There's a write up on the event in this week's Motorsport News.
Click photos. All competitors will get a free photo sent to them by Andrew Manston and the opportunity to buy more.
I like the one of Debs ( Chief Marshal) & Karen (Secretary of Mtg) on their way to collect the check sheets.
Great to see the report in MN. Probably a first ever namecheck for lots of crews, and makes it more frustrating for those "could have beens" so I'll say it again for Robert Dudley, Ding & Ahron - only 11th due to "furthest cleanest" & Ben Griffin.
There are some Targa Photos here:

Lucky it wasn't a live one. We went over one at Caerwent a few years ago and it blew a hole in the tyre! I believe Nick Pope had a similar experiences at Sculthorpe or West Raynham.
I hope it's alright to post a link to Jack's Flickr album with quite a few pics from Woodbridge last Sunday, feel free to remove this post if not...
