Got a message to say funds have been received via BACS.

Jon
We have a full entry list for the first 12 car of the series, but are still quite short of marshals. I also need two course cars as Peter is unavailable as he is at the Goodwood Revival that weekend. Volunteers gratefully accepted.
Paul
Hi Paul
Sorry I can't help out and marshal, I am at the Goodwood Revival that day too
Mike Bishop's nav TBA confimed as Darren Armitage
Sorry Mike but that still leaves you on the reserve list.
Paul
Hope you've got me down as a marshal!
Andy
Yes thanks Andy - 2 controls OK?
Paul
Yes Paul, no problem.
Andy
Hi Paul - David Lobb has persuaded me to navigate him in a course car - in case he hadn't told you. You could ask me to check the navigation for you.
Thanks Jim. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I've sent the nav to Bob Blows and Paul Barrett, but will ask you to do a final check once I've got it back from them.
Cheers
Paul
I intend to do the seeded entry list and sewnd out finals this evening or tomorrow morning. If anyone is struggling to get their car ready please let me know sooner rather than later so I can offer your place to a reserve. I am also short of one marshal. Thanks to Andy Merchant, Tony & Ann Burchnall, David and Elizabeth Everett, Geoff Lobb and Dave Thompson for stepping up to marshal, and Jim Bowie/David Lobb and Gavin Leech/Dean Clayton for running the course cars.
Paul
The finals and seeded entry list have been sent out by email today, to navigators, or if the only email given was the driver's, to drivers. Please acknowledge receipt.
The marshals instructions will be sent out later today.
Regards
Paul
Hi Pual
I have received the finals thanks. i try'd to reply by email but for some reason it failed to send to you and was bounced straight back.
Adrian Bragg
Thanks Adrian
It's just been pointed out that I omitted the start time from the finals. Car 0 time is 8.00pm and cars start at minute intervals after that. Any crews not signed on by 7.45pm will be excluded and their place offered to a reserve crew.
Paul
Happy to marshal if no drop outs.
Still massively disappointed that I ended up on reserve list, - as having put an early entry in with a choice of two names to put forwards as nav, I was trying to save paperwork by holding back the info until I was sure which one I was doing the event with!
Worrying now as the confirmed (and usual) nav lives and works in Lancs and may not drive all the way down to here if still on reserve.
No sour grapes though, just live and learn for next time :-)
Update:
Nav has decided to drive down to visit anyway, so we'll see you all on friday either driving or marshalling whichever :-)
just catching up on emails - finals received, thanks!
great result for us after a challenging drive in appalling weather. Had two inches of water sloshing aroound the passenger footwell by the time we reached the finish. Big thank you to all the marshalls who turned out and braved the rain!
Seeing the conditions and lanes used last night, finishing the rally and making it back home is an achievement. Now, doing it in 3rd place thatĀ“s what I call a result! Thanks John for navigating me around brilliantly, I promise some kind of improvement of the lighting for the next one.
Thanks Paul and all your team of marshals for yet another great 12 car!
Seeing lots of people standing at the bar at the end with their trousers wet from the knees down was amusing.
But mustn't laugh too much as if I had been out in the TR6, the water wicks up through the base of the passenger seat and leaves an uncomfortable sensation of what it might feel like to be really scared at Mikes driving.. :-)
Hopefully see you (but not the rain) on the next one.
Cheers
Colin
Thanks to all the marshals for braving a foul night. Thanks to Paul and crew . Thanks to Luis for getting me round safely in terrible conditions
Priestley Results
Amended results reflecting the 3 fails for missing a TC or OTL are attached. Thanks to Luis for pointing out the error. Many thanks to all the marshals who must have got very wet! Congratulations to all crews for making it to the finish in such extreme wetness.
Get your entries in to Paul Barrett for the Halloween on 18th October!
Over and out!
Paul
Does anyone know the whereabouts of the Priestley Trophy? I have checked last year's winners and they don't have it. I'd hate to think of a longstanding club trophy going missing.
Paul
Paul I won the Priestly back in 2007 and never got to see the trophy! Does it even exsist?
