it's being one of the worst years recently in number of serious incidents... news like this are always sad, but this time is a bit more special to me as it is my 'local' rally, the Principe de Asturias rally, valid for European and Spanish Rally Cahmpionships, takes place in the region where I come from and headquarters are in my hometown Oviedo.

Polish driver Antonin Tluslak (Skoda), who was at the time of the accident the top ERC contender in the rally, went off and over the barriers to run over a group of spectators. One of them died instantly and nothing could be done by emergency services to save his life.
