We will accept two reserve crews in case any drop out at the last moment. Any reserve crew that doesn't get a run will be asked to do a passage check control so your journey to the start won't be wasted.
Please note OS Map 167 Edition C3 can also be used for the navigation.
The form is filled out, I'm just about to rummage in my wallet for the fee and it'll be in the post first thing tomorrow, me shouting jibberish at Mr D Lobb, presumably in the Corsa, running, sadly, as masters, I believe. See you there! :D
Due to the extreme weather conditions we have decided to cancel the running of the event this Friday. Hopefully we will be able to re-schedule later in the season.
More snow is due in this area mid week and temperatures are going to stay below zero. The side roads are going to be totally treacherous and likely to be impassable in places.
All entry fees paid will be returned soon.

Peter and I were just discussing whether to use the jeep as course closing car! It's the right call in the circumstances. I expect most of the side roads will still be treacherous by Friday as there doesn't seem much chance of a thaw.
The right thing to do I am sure. If the route is anything like the lanes near here then it would be impossible. And gives my driver more time to heal her ribs (horse-, not car-related incident!)
I had fun yesterday collecting the stakes and boards for the 12 car from our remote storage container - I can recommend a Subaru Forester with winter tyres!

in the interest of safety I guess it's the right call. It should also give me some extra time to sort out car troubles properly...

Very sad to see this cancelled, but totally understandable. It's not often I can get to one of these, so I hope I can make it whenever it runs.
