Steam & Cider Fair with Classic Car Show, Dagenham - 22nd August

I have received the below, if anybody is interested in attending please let me know:

Invite to the Steam and Cider Fair, Dagenham, 22 August 2015

I am writing to invite your club members to attend our Steam and Cider Fair which is part of our celebratory programme marking the 50th anniversary of the London borough of Barking and Dagenham.

The event will showcase steam engines and vehicles, classic cars, specialist vehicle displays, explosive arena acts and other family attractions. Our early history of farming in the borough will also be featured with a ‘Parade of Power’ with horses, traction engines, vintage tractors and modern tractors.

With Dagenham being home to Fords our industrial heritage is important to celebrate so we would like to host a classic car show as a major attraction at the event which we hope you and your members might like to attend.

The details of the event are below:

Date: Saturday 22 August 2015

Time: 11am – 5pm (exhibitors to enter site from 8.30am with no vehicle movement after 10.15am)

Venue: Old Dagenham Park, Ballards Road, Dagenham, Essex, RM10 9SA

The event is free of charge and we would welcome vehicles of all makes, models and sizes.  With the classic car show any car can enter that was manufactured before 2000.  Please be aware the area is part of the Low Emission Zone www.tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/low-emission-zone

We would be most grateful if you could circulate this information to your club or post on your website or via social media.  Anyone wishing to exhibit at the event should complete the booking form with proof of public liability insurance by 16 April. We have limited space so bookings will be taken on a first come first served basis.

We hope to do classic car processions in the arena as follows:

  • 12.30pm - 50 years of Classic Cars (in year order)
  • 3.00pm - Festival of Fords (with owners of cars from 1965 being interviewed)
