Might sound over cautious, just had a chat with our gate contact for next weekends event.

Well done John , Dave , Neil, Brian and all the other helpers and marshals involved with the organisation set up and delivery of the event.
Fabulous day for Spike and I, even if the car is now an inch shorter on one side than the other.
Yet another most enjoyable day. Well done to John, Dave, Neil and the rest of the team that stepped last minute into organising this targa. I enjoyed the tests in my brother's company despite a very poor result.
I guess I need some more events to get used to the new car, it feels very lively under braking... is that common with 106s? Trying to get the car in shape for cones F to M on the second test was nearly impossible and I lost the count of how many times I managed to spin!
We managed very few tests with no major mistakes and I felt very frustrated when I saw the test times at home, it was clear it was never going to be a good overall result but I expected to do a bit better on some of the tests. I think 38th was the best I managed...
Results apart, it was great to see all those marshals and catch up with so many rally friends. Plus a few more marshals have now volunteered for the Preston.
Targets met: I beat my brother and the car made it back home with no problems.
Huge thanks on behalf of Anton, you made him feel very welcome and we laughed a lot during John's briefing. It was nice and warm(ish) at some point around noon...
