12 Car Rally

Entries and offers to marshal are invited for Round 2 of the Weald 12 car series.

Round 1 is organised by Borough 18 Motor Club and will take place on October 21st 2016 (details for this event are also on the common entry form below).

Round 2, the Sevenoaks event starts and finishes at the Bell Pub in Kemsing 188 GR 556586½. Sign on from 7.00PM, first car away, 8.01PM.

As ever, we would like a full field and as many marshal’s as we can get, so please send entries and offers to help to Tim or Paul (contact details below).

The event is all on the 188. There does not appear to be any changes from the C3 (2010) to the latest version of the map. The navigation has been written by currently active competitors in the series and is based on the paper map, not magnified online versions of the OS. Approximately 45 miles in classic Kent lanes. The intention is to make it do-able, but hopefully produce a result. There will be three classes, Beginner, Novice and Expert.

People with no experience are particularly welcome and can run as Beginners. They will be given the whole route on marked map at the start. Novices will receive the whole route via simple instructions 15 minutes before their start times and Experts will get slightly harder navigation via sealed envelopes to be opened at each control. In previous events using this format, Novices have won and Beginners have been in the top three.

We will need marshals for eight controls and ideally some manned PC’s as well. If you would like to take part it would be much appreciated if you could indicate that as soon as possible, even if paperwork follows later.
