Mick Bliss Finals

The entry is closed at 12 and all the controls are manned. This weekend's wet weather should make the roads interesting. Here are the final instructions - please pay special attention to the navigational definitions and the Quiet Zone grid references / instructions. There will be a driving standards observer.

Mick Bliss Results

Congratulations to all 12 crews for getting to the finish of the last 12 car of 2016 and thank you to the marshals and helpers -Simon Howlett, Peter & Paul Brewerton, Andy Merchant, Tony Michael & Kelly Radley, Malcolm Philpott, Katie & Mark Andrews and Jim Bowie & Jeremy Olafemi. Only one crew found all the boards (plus the extra one) and a few crews had clean time columns, suggesting the event could have been cleaned. The first section proved to simple for some navigators and the use of S (a common abbrevation for South) before 64 to define the Clatterford Bridge loop caught quite a few crews out. Here are the results, with a more detailed analysis attached:

Thanks

Thanks to Paul and everyone else involved in organising and marshalling last night - we found it an enjoyable event and, certainly for me, a welcome break from work (somehow stayed awake all evening!). Pleased to have plotted all but one grid reference on the move but now to improve again the accuracy of plotting on the move! Looking forward to seeing how quickly my students plot the route on Tuesday!  :)
