In fact last year's targa rallies were £55 to enter, the club having held the £50 fee for at least five years. For 2020 we have had some significant increases in Motorsport UK permit and insurance fees which unfortunately do have to be reflected in the entry fees. The club's committee still feels that even at £65 our targa rallies offer very good value for money and hopefully will continue to have healthy entry lists.
The benefits package offered by Motorsport UK to all competition licence holders and registered marshals may go some way to offsetting these costs - free eye tests and a wide range of discounts (Esso fuel, Halfords etc).
Post wasn't a dig at the club, I was just pointing out the 30% increase in the cost of an entry. I understand the increase is to cover the higher insurance and permit costs.

Thanks for the explanation, Paul.
