It is with great regret I must confirm the passing of club member Bob Smith yesterday morning.

Bob was a regular attendee at Chelmsford Club Nights along with Barry Suker, Dean Fewings & Kim Gale.

He had suffered from ill health for a number of years firstly hips & knees, then a pacemaker and finally cancer. 

Bob was a regular fixture in the left hand seat of Dean Fewings TR7 V8 since 2017 , but in the 80's was a well travelled Stage Driver using BMW's & Astra GTE's in Belgium and a couple of Lombard RAC finishes. He also liked to co drive in his own Mk2 Lotus Cortina on our East Anglian Classic. His last event was in May 2024 finishing a very tough Manston Targa navigating for Kim.
