targa

Well, where do I start?

Well done to Andy, Ben and all the team behind for a great event. Thanks to the marshals for being there in the freezing morning.

I only got to do the first fours tests driving and one and half of navigating before hitting a buddleia thingy and bending the car. Despite a team effort (it doesn´t include me) trying to straighten it, we had to retire.
Big thanks to Mike Thomas (I think) for lending us the trailer and to John for bringing me back home (mind it was him that broke it ;-) ).

I thoroughly enjoyed the few tests I did, very challenging, long and extremely slippery... but we had been warned!

I followed the rest of the event via the excellent results service from the sofa, all those changes on the classification made for an entertaining evening. So many retirements, too! I heard Owen had a puncture on the last test and that costed him dear. Well done to David and Jim for an excellent win.

I'm really pleased for Jack and Will in the Mini, their first ever event and 23rd overall (2nd in class, and 1st in the Mini Challenge)... what a result!!! My only consolation is that, at least, I beat him in one of the tests.

A bit disappointed at not being able to stay out for a bit longer but I guess I've finally met the dark side of motorsport. I wonder if Andy got to take, at least, a pic of us...

Looking forward to reading all your posts.

Thanks again

Luis (red Mini no.18)

Targa

Or should that be the best targa ever well done to all involved, Only did four tests but rich and i were smiling like two kids having a fag behind the bike sheds (we had been warned it was slippery) . As allways very slick event would like to have played some more but damage from a previous event reared its ugly head and the front suspension leg departed company with the top mount
once again well done all

Many thanks to the chaps that gave me the wire so I could fix my fan enabling us to carry on :-) Will be rewiring that bit before "The One And Only".
