'Isolation' table tops

With the social distancing requirements during this time, I know I'm certainly going to have withdrawal symptoms from my motorsport. So....

Following the postponement of the March Hare 12 car, here is a set of clues for a route on map 155 (same map as we were going to use on Friday). They hopefully aren't too tricky so should be a quick plot for many (as opposed to the excellent challenges available on Crow's Tabletop website - worth checking out if you have more time on your hands!) but therefore should also be accessible to those newer to 12 car navigation whilst giving experienced folk practise at plotting quickly. Up to you if you want to sit in a dark room with only a headlamp! How quick can you plot it in?

2 documents attached - the clues and the answers. No guarantee it works perfectly as I've not had anyone check it but hopefully it does!

Enjoy   :)

Nice one Lucy

Well done Lucy.  Took me ages to do the spot height section because I didnt see SH 65. Becuse I don't compete much nowadays I didn't go through the map and highlight SHs - lesson learnt!

Tabletop from 2012

For those with unexpected time on their hands, and navigation withdrawal symptoms, here are the relevant documents from a CMC tabletop rally from 2012 using maps 155 and 156. I will post answers tomorrow.

Table Tops

Crow's Table Top web site is here:   http://table-top-rallying.org.uk/ although the 2019-2020 championship is over.

The HERO Virtual Table Top Championship offers six week's of plotting starting from the 30th March:

Crow's La Slog 2020

Crow has announced  La Slog 2020:

With the current locked-down situation I have been persuaded to put together a home-based distraction for you over the coming months.

If you go to the TTR Home Page you will see an announcement for La Slog 2020.

I look forward to your continued support and ask that you register as soon as possible so that I can complete the preparation for a roll-out in the next few weeks.

169 tabletop

Many of us were meant to be finalising details for Clacton in these next couple of weeks so it had been on my mind to create a tabletop linking to that event as we are sadly unable to run it till next year.

With the devastating news about John, I also thought it poignant to create this one in his home patch. John was involved in motorsport in so many ways, and this included enabling beginners to feel at ease in joining in with the various events, including by running tabletops and navigation sessions for 12 cars / regularities. He will be very much missed.

I've put both clues and answers in the same document this time as it works better for uploading to Facebook.

(Post edited 20:50 with updated instructions thanks to Paul spotting an extra spot height!)

Map versions

Hi Lucy

Just to let you know that my online map (tracklogs), sheet 169 C2 and sheet 168 C2 show a SH 2 on the bridge in GS1918. Just goes to show it is important, as you say, to use the right version of the map.

Cheers

Paul
