Everything is set for the first CMC/AMSC 12 Car of the year with the Feb Fling based out of Wakes Colne this Friday 16th Feb. This is a team effort lead by Ben Cutting & Steve Cumbers. We have a full complement of marshals ( thanks) and 10 entries - so a couple of entries are still available.
The next 12 Car is the Danbury based March Hare run by Graham Robinson & Jim Drake. Ed Scott & I are looking after Marshal Registrations so please all sign up on the forum links.
Jim
Final results are here.

Apologies for the late entry.
Many thanks to Steve and Ben for a taxing evenings Motorsport. Had to dig deep into the 12 Car Grey Cells on a couple of sections. But thats what this sport is all about. And most importantly Teamwork. When I was stuck with the nav Jim cracked it. Especially on the last section. Once sorted Jim did a great drive to keep us just within OTL and 2nd Overall.
Special thanks to all the Marshals and Officials without whom events like this would not happen.
Hope to see many of you on the next event the March Hare on the 15th March as entrants and Marshals.
Cheers, Graham and Jim.
Hi all, the second event in the 2023-2024 12 Car Winter Series is fast approaching. If you live in/close to Chelmsford, Witham, Kelevedon or Colchester and would like to Marshal at a Time Control on the March Hare 12 Car on Friday 15th March, can you please let me know via the forum. If you can only pop out for an hour or two I will endeavor to allocate a Time Control as close to home as possible.
Regards,
Graham.
Thankyou Graham, Paul, Peter, Paul, Tony, Jim, Jim, Ed and the rest of the boys/girls in the band (and sitting in cars in the cold who are just voices in the dark as we pass) for your efforts, a most enjoyable evening. We much apreciated the arrangement of a rainshower on muddy roads part way through just to stop you getting too focused on the pot holes... Also thanks again to all the organisers, competitors, partners etc. for an enjoyable 23/24 Winter Series, see you next year. Julie & Nick
I'm sure the full results will appear here soon but it was good ending for Ray Crowthers ( Crow) birthday last night when he navigated George Hendry to a "clean sheet" win on the March Hare 12 car. It was a night for the experts to conquer their navigation on a route that started & finished at The Bell in Danbury & where the route, unknown to the principal event organiser Graham Robinson, went past a previous residence , and very close to Rays current one!
Well done to all who finished the season's finale and a big thanks to Graham Robinson for putting the event together. A detailed results breakdown will follow, but here are the headline results. Also living on the route were the evening's only non-finishers, Emma and Gavin Print and TC5 marshal, Chris Slack.
1st o/a 1st Master - George Hendry / Crow - 0F0m
2nd, 1st Expert - Michael Bishop / Colin Wake - 0F7m
3rd, 1st Beginner - Mike Thomas / Wayne Tyson - 0F12m
4th, 1st Novice - Julie Skuse / Nick Skuse - 0F13m
5th, 2nd Expert - Ben Cutting / Steve Cumbers - 1F5m (furhest cleanest to TC3)
6th, 3rd Expert - Craig Salter / Preston Ayres - 1F5m
7th, 4th Expert - Luis Gutierraz Diaz / Lucy Fryer - 1F14m

Many thanks to everyone involved with the planning of this event. Also the Officials, Course Car crews and the Marshal teams on the night. Many thanks to Ed and Rich for working out the results and Paul for announcing them. And most of all, the entrants. Eleven crews set off and ten completed the course. A new area for most of you and me, with many enjoyable lanes. Congratulations to all the crews and the class winners. The most rewarding thing for me about the event was that everyone made it back to the pub with smiles on their faces and lots of discussion about their experience. Very pleased that Mike Thomas/Wayne Tyson and Jamie Ruffle/Louis Statham both Beginners had a good run and I look forward to seeing them on future events.
And finally, a big thank you to the Bell PH for hosting our event.
Graham
Thank to everyone involved for a cracking evening. It was great to get the old Stag out again and giver her her workout, she did go well! Not such a new area for me - we went within 100m of passing my house!
Thanks and well done to Colin for nailing the nav, we may even have knocked a few minutes off our time if the cable hadn't broken on the Potti when plugged in as we started!
