Chelmsford Motor Club is delighted to have secured the use of RAF Honington near Bury St Edmunds for its second of three stage rallies in 2012, the Cadman Construction Honington Stages. We intend to offer around 65 miles of smooth tarmac / concerete for an entry fee of about £200. Exact details are being finalised now and we hope to open the entry list in early February. The event is a round of the ASEMC championship and may also be included in the AEMC championship.

Cadman Construction Honington Stages - 22nd April
Regs are now up and the entry list is open on this page and at www.honingtonstages.co.uk
There was a slight delay while the Motorsport UK approved our stage diagrams for inclsuion in the Junior 1000, but now it's all systems go.
Thanks to all at CMC for their hard work, it was a great event!
We had a really excellent day out. Suze drove a super rally and many thanks to Matt for servicing. Lovely to see so many friendly faces all day and the marshals seemed to keep their smiles on too.
And that QR code results system was ace :)
Thanks to all involved with the CCHS - great day, great event, enthusiastic happy marshals [especially those at the "bus stop" on the last stage] and pleased with the result. Thanks to Lizzie and Matt for co-driving / servicing and good to catch up with familiar faces.
Getting live results on phone the minute we stepped out of the car was good too - really good system, well done.
Although I had a slightly disappointing day sat alongside Ed Scott in the 206, after attacking a chicane on SS1, it was another great day for CMC. There were plenty of challenges getting a stage rally to run at Honington - but we did it!
Whilst the stages weren't the longest, they were well thought out and a fantastic battle for the top 4 places raged all day with the Impreza of Ross Daniels taking a maiden win with Pete Rayner as spectacular as ever just 4 seconds behind & Paul King in another Escort also right on it. Event sponsor Stuart Cadman at No 5 Evo 4 & Tony Clements debuting an Evo 9 at No 6 were neck & neck all day but Stuart had a strut issue causing retirement on the last stage & Tony had some tyre issues which lost him a few places.
Top result for David Earthy winning Class B. Aaron was his usual dominant self cleaning up Class A. I though Kevin Jarvis had a great drive getting the bulky Sierra into the Top 20. Commiserations to the CMC retirees - and those that didn't manage to start ( Steve T & Irene!).
I would like to say, on behalf of Mike Rose & myself (Bill Smith). A very BIG thankyou to every body for this most excellent day out. Although we didnt do as good as we hoped, but never mind. If any body has any photos of us, could you give me a shout please. We were in the Skoda Number 51.
Good wheels off ground shot of the Skoda on the M and H website - see link via Honington Results
Mick - you should have bought my old 106 it would have been quicker!!
