With 58 entries so far and still 5 weekends before 'The one and only', this years Preston rally, is shaping up very nicely.
Clerk of the course and assistant have worked really hard in their persuit of the perfect event and it looks like its going to be a very good one. More new land has allowed a real challenge of a route to be selected from the considerable milage of private land and tracks now available to the organisers.
I now need to collect a long list of marshals to help make it a success .I'm sure everyone has had my original email request for marshals , thanks to those that have already replied .
We'd love to see some new faces as well as the regulars on the night so experience is not a requirement .
If your unable to fill one of the remaining places on the entry list (and it really does deserve a full entry) then please help us as a marshal .

Just to add we'd love to see a few new faces out in the forests and fields on the 1st December. Those who have marshalled before know what to expect. If you have never marshalled on the One and Only Preston believe everything you've heard. It is an experience not to be missed. Sign up now - you won't be disappointed.

Secretary of the Event
We still need to enlist the help of more willing volunteers so vital for any rally to take place.
If your available on the night of Saturday 1st December then please consider offering your services as a marshal or if your intending to come out but haven't yet made contact ,please get in touch.
Crews manning three controls might get a breakfast out of us and one of our sponsors has put up a prize draw of a meal for four at their restaurant to be won .
I've noticed a few dropouts from the entry list ( although still very healthy at 60+ ). My Kim's game skills aren't what they were so I don't know who they are, but this is a plea to the crews who can't compete to still be part of the fun by coming out to marshal. After all you've got the weekend pass so why not use it?
Cheers
Paul
On the thread of The Preston Rally needing more marshals on 1st December, I'm making a direct appeal to all the crews that regularly compete on the club's gymkhana's that we rarely see marshalling on our other events, TO COME OUT AND HELP ON EITHER THIS RALLY or the X Part Endurance on 16th February, as they are our most "marshal hungry" events and we really do need your help.
I'm not picking on the poles, as I absolutely love seeing you all on our events - I'm even sad I cant devise quiz questions specifically for you on future Skill Tests - because there wont be any on my Targa Rally at Honington next March! However, this club thrives on the fact most of our event organisers also compete some of the time, and in return, it requires competitors that compete most of the time, to put something back once in a while. I know a lot of you are in Farnborough, and may marshal down there but I'd like to see some Gymkhana crews step up to plate.
Anyone feeling guilty about NOT marshalling on the above events may post their excuse here - now!
( Marshalling on the Brands Stages in January is not an acceptable excuse -as it is a great day out and we get enough race marshals happy to help!)
Tomasz Marcianak the winner of the Targa Rally at Woodbridge has responded to my plea for Gymkhana competitors to come out and help on ThePreston - thank you.
This email is blatantly pushing The Preston to the top of the forum postings - I KNOW CRAIG STILL NEEDS MORE MARSHALS.
