Cricket tonight at Lord's

Suze's picture

I have three tickets for cricket at Lord's tonight, Middlesex v Hampshire in the T20 Vitality Blast (starts 18:15). Some colleagues and friends now cannot make it hence their tickets are available (face value £25 each). I'm going as part of a group of 10 people so these tickets are to sit with us.

I have all tickets so if anybody fancies a last minute night out, let me know please via email (you can email through this website).

Charity Bike Ride

Simon Rowan's picture

How time flies! It is the third year running that we have been part of The Ride For Helen event to raise money for The Helen Rollason Cancer Charity. As most of you know, this local charity has been close to our hearts since Simon’s stage 4 kidney cancer diagnosis three years ago. Astonishingly he is still here fighting  this b*****d disease with his customary courage and determination despite so nearly losing the battle in such dramatic fashion two weeks ago.

New Members - Inspired by Clacton Tendring Rally

jimbowie's picture

I note from some facebook comments that some car enthusiasts may never have heard of the club until they saw the Corbeau Seats Clacton & Tendring Stage Rally at the weekend, and may therefore be surfing this website.

We hope some of you may be inspired to get involved with organised club motorsport and look forward to hearing from you.

Marshalling is one of the best ways to get started, and you dont even have to join the club to do that.

World Famous Ford Rally Cars on Display in Frinton

In celebration of the forthcoming Corbeaus Seats Tendring and Clacton Rally, two of the world's most famous and iconic rally cars arrive in Frinton.

Presented by Tendring’s Ford dealer Pollendines – the world famous Mk2 Ford Escort RS driven by rally legend the late Björn Waldegård and sponsored by British Airways, together with the very last produced Ford Group B rally car – the Ford RS200 (chassis number 200).

East Anglian Classic Marshalling

This year's EAC has  couple of changes.

Firstly, the date: We are running on SATURDAY June 16th. There isn't a clash this year with Fathers' Day.

Secondly, the venues are in North Suffolk. Paul has negotiated a new Start/Finish venue near Bury St Edmunds which has a test on site to begin with. The other venue is the established Thorpe Abbotts airfield, which has been a real favourite in the past.

There will also be a lot more road controls than we have had previously, which means more crews on the road.

OS map colour issues

I've now come across my second OS paper Landranger map (first was the Chelmsford map bought last year) in which yellow roads are not coloured properly...a number of them on the 134 map I bought this week look like whites in many places (evidently they are not because at points along them they have splodges of yellow).

Just wondering if others have come across this issue as it is of course going to make it tricky for navigators in 12 cars for CRO routes!!
