classic mini Fiberglas and tyres

TalbotD's picture

Hi , Newbie question regarding modifications and tyres.  1967 mk1 mini 1275 ( 1380 in build), reciently purchased and interested in prepping for novice rally type events.  Its currently got a fiberglas flip front , i have read that this will exclude it from Historic class ( eventually to be put back to standard in order to qualify) so what calls if any can we run her in?  2nd question is what tyres as searching the lists in the Blue Book and searching the web  has failed to produce many options . Thanks in advance.

Dare to be Different - and go hungry ?

As always, Sally and I had a great time marshalling at the Wethersfield Bonfire Targa ( let's not mention my idiotic indiscretion ! )

The Motorsport UK are trying to involve more females in our sport (hence the Subject of this topic ) and a quick scan through the entry list revealed a good percentage were ladies - and roughly equates with the percentage of the population who prefer not to eat meat - many more females are veggies than men.

Internet Table-Top Rally Championship 2018-2019

Crow's picture
After the success of the winter Championship 2017-2018 and the two events during the summer, there will be another championship series of four rounds this coming winter. The format will, however, be VERY DIFFERENT.

Recent events have been pretty tough with cryptic navigation defining long complicated routes. This has been perfect for “encyclopaedic-brained” navigators with plenty of time and patience, but frustrating and demotivating for those who crave a more “real-world” rallying challenge.

Simon Rowan - Sad News

jimbowie's picture

I'm very sad to report that club member Simon Rowan died last night following his long battle with cancer.

The funeral will be at Braintree Crematorium at 12.00 on Tuesday 28th August , then afterwards at The Six Bells in Boreham.

Simon was a very active member of the club during the last 3 years,  competing as a driver, navigator and marshal.

Cricket tonight at Lord's

Suze's picture

I have three tickets for cricket at Lord's tonight, Middlesex v Hampshire in the T20 Vitality Blast (starts 18:15). Some colleagues and friends now cannot make it hence their tickets are available (face value £25 each). I'm going as part of a group of 10 people so these tickets are to sit with us.

I have all tickets so if anybody fancies a last minute night out, let me know please via email (you can email through this website).
